I will take that bet. I dont think they make the playoffs this year.
Why? Because they lost Carson Wentz?

In your way of thinking, if a fringe-playoff team simply gets a better QB, they should get in the playoffs right? Ryan is better than Wentz so according to your own way of thinking, will they not make the playoffs? They were 9-8 last year and barely missed the playoffs.

They now have a better QB in Ryan. They were smart to dump Wentz and get a true leader in Ryan. How is that the Colts will not improve with better QB play but WSH will magically improve 3 games? That doesn't make any sense.
In our own division, all 3 teams (NYG, Philly, and Dallas) all improved. Philly looks great and had a great offseason. They distanced themselves from us. We are still looking at 3rd place in the NFC East, as such, how does Wentz lead us to the playoffs? 3 NFC East teams are NOT making the playoffs.

Also, regarding the previous Wilson to Denver, it appears Denver is a threat according to some NFL pundits.

Maybe he wasn't a moron for choosing Denver over WSH?

Matt Ryan - 3,900 yards; 20 TDs; 12 Ints; QB rating 90.4
Wentz - 3,500 yards 27 TDs; 7 Ints; QB rating 94.6

Not a ton of difference in their play last year.

Its alot tougher to get into the playoffs in the AFC. I dont think they have a shot at winning the division. Sorry, Ryan is not a huge upgrade at QB. There were a fringe playoff team but a fringe playoff team in the AFC vs the NFL is night and day. Im thinking about the conference.

Wilson would have a much easier road to the playoffs if he came here vs Denver. The AFC West is light years better than the NFC East. I believe the AFC wildcard teams will be better than the NFC's.

Same win percentage 7-10
I'll take 7 more TD's and 5 less TO though.

Umm, you think the Commanders have a better chance at winning their division than the Colts? The Colts have to worry about the Titans and that is it. The Titans took a step back this off-season. Tannehill was "shocked" that they got rid of their best WR. He admitted that in an interview.

I don't know why you continue to worship the AFC. They have some great teams, yes, but the SB was won by an NFC team last year. With the NFC, you need to get used to the fact that the Eagles and Cowboys are much better than Washington. Everyone except you has accepted that as common knowledge. I find it odd that you literally argue with everyone on this board and with every article presented to you. You might want to ask yourself why that is the case. And the answer is not a lack of "faith" and "doom and gloom".

Ryan is an absolute upgrade over Wentz and I can't believe you don't see that. Did you read the article? While we are apologizing, I am sorry that I trust Brooks (former player and writer at SI) over your Commanders rose-colored glasses opinion. You are walking back your whole thesis of "a better QB can get a team in the playoffs". You have been caught numerous times making up facts and misquoting people.

The fact that you continue to question Wilson is laughable. He is a true competitor and if you can't understand why he would choose the Broncos over the Commanders, you are a homer. He is a classy player and this is NOT a classy organization. Wilson is VERY familiar with the NFC, so I am sure he knows what he is doing. He believes they are SB contenders and again, I trust Wilson over your elementary understanding of the NFL. Again, Wilson disagrees with your assessment of our team. Perhaps he wants a challenge and wants to beat the best in the AFC. He obviously knows the NFC and chose the Broncos over our dumpster fire of a team.

We have a better chance making the playoffs than the Colts. Yes. Don't have to win the division to make the playoffs. Give me a break with your stats on a team that had TH at QB and multiple injuries at WR. Give me a break with your articles. There have been articles that support Wentz too. The latest's one was with Torrey Smith.

We have better WR's than Indy. How am I misquoting people? I posted the articles. It's an easier road to get to playoffs here than Denver. That is my opinion. Who knows what will happen. Yes the AFC is whole lot better than the NFC, if you cant figure that out you are lost.

Matt Ryan. lol. How is that an upgrade?

1) I don't hate Wince in of itself. I just don't like losing trades and the team being taken advantage of.

2) I'm a bit annoyed by Rivera dodging drafting a rookie QB. He fell out with Haskins almost instantly in favor of Alex Smith and 2 of his bench fodders who he enthusiastically brought along from Carolina. Where was that enthusiasm for making a move to get Justin Fields and Mac Jones? Instead he went to convince 40yr old Fitzpatrick out of retirement.

3) This lack of confidence in drafting a QB means he got further desperate and paid a lot more than needed for Wince, a guy who could probably be had for a single 3rd. And I hate losing trades.

4) we have to start winning trades

Again, that is your opinion. You have proven by your comments that you actually don't watch the games. Why do the Colts have to win the division to make the playoffs? They can secure a WC spot and should have last year if Wentz didn't have a meltdown and choke. It appears that the articles I provide don't fit your agenda so you dismiss them.

I read the article from Torrey Smith. You submit an article with 1 player supporting Wentz, but I submitted an article with "several" players calling out Wentz for leadership issues and being selfish. Same with his former GM, owner, and coach. It's interesting that to you, both the Eagles and Colts made a mistake by trading Wentz. Is that correct?

For misquoting people, for starters, you misquoted me. You claimed that I stated that Bridgewater was just as good as Wentz. I never said that and I provided the post number and date stamped post. I never said anything of the sort and you know it. You got caught and ran. Your history of making up stats and misleading facts:

You claim Cousins didn't lead us to the playoffs. FALSE
You claim Bostic was "decent" in 2020. FALSE
You claim teams reached out to the Colts for Wentz. FALSE
You recently claimed we were set at WR. FALSE. Refer to your own thread.

If you are obsessed with the AFC, perhaps you should find an AFC team to root for? Seriously, you worship the AFC conference, yet, it was an NFC Team that won the Super Bowl.

How is Ryan a better QB? Are you serious? Try leadership and clutch performance. I believe you are not watching the games as I have said a thousand times. Wentz has neither leadership nor solid decision-making skills with the game on the line. Being traded multiple times and being benched for a rookie prove that. Any GM in the league except WSH would take Ryan over Wentz period.

With respect to Wilson, he picked Denver for several reasons. Per sources:

He wanted to go to Denver," Rapoport said. "This was his preferred destination, in part because of the young roster, the receivers, a pretty baller defense and a coach in Nathaniel Hackett that had so much success with Aaron Rodgers."

For Wilson, it's evident that playing in the same division as Patrick Mahomes and Justin Herbert was not a dealbreaker on his preferred landing spot. The quarterback is clearly confident in Denver's current roster and coaching staff enough to win right now, regardless of the talent the rest of the AFC West has.

Perhaps you know more about the situation than Wilson does, but I doubt it. I find it strange you continue to bring this up. It is almost like you took it personally that he selected Denver. Oddmakers are showing Denver with 10+ wins. Apparently, they disagree with you as WSH only is predicted to have 7.5 wins. Again, I trust oddsmakers over you as they watch the games.

I find it odd that you are confused and almost attack teams/players who do something that is in conflict with Washington. You are confused at Russell picking Denver over Washington and you imply that Indy will NOT make the playoffs and that Ryan isn't an upgrade over our current QB. That is just weird to me that you are puzzled or offended over the other team's decisions.

It is almost like you are some sort of paid propaganda minister for Snyder and the Commanders. Any poster who expresses concern, you immediately reply to them claiming to "have faith". It is odd to me that you feel you have to explain Rivera's every decision and put a positive spin on it. It's almost like you spend your time combing the board and looking for an opportunity to try to convince posters that Rivera is a great coach, Wentz is our savior, and that the outlook is bright for this team regardless of Snyder. Regardless of the oddsmakers, WSH beat writers, and practically every poster on the board, we are ALL wrong and you are right. Do you not find that bizarre?

Of course, they can get a WC but it will be tougher b/c its the AFC. Why can you get this? I watch the games and Wentz is a clear upgrade at QB for us. Im making predications on what could happen. Its my opinion Wentz will help us. I gave you articles that 76% fans now like the Wentz trade. I forgot about Cousins. Bostic who really cares, I was guessing teams could of reached out for Wentz. yes we are set at WR. That's my opinion.

One hogshaven article asked the fans who would they want more Wentz or Ryan, and Wentz won the poll. So take that, If you want to cherry pick articles so can I. You dont want the guy fine. You wanted Bridgewater running this team, fine. Lets se what happens.

As for Wilsom, who cares on the reasons why he picked Denver. He would have had an easier road to th playoffs if he came here. He wasnt guaranteed playoffs b/c anything can happen, but the road is easier. Odds makers can be wrong.

I respect anybody's opinion on our team. Some posts are just down right hated. Sure you can disagree with the trade but you wont admit its possible it could work. I admit both sides it could not work and it could work. You think it cant work fine. I have more optimism. I dont care with the rest of the people say.

It's not bizarre to think we can win this year. Of course, I am a fan and will always think positive before the season starts.

All of you taking the Wince trade too far and too personal. As Snoop would say, "Chill homey, a d enjoy the finer things in life".
We are ALL Skins fans, let's just enjoy the games this year, regardless of the QB, RB, .LB, head coach or anything else. Cheer for whomever dons the uniform.
