Did we, or did we not have a poster who told us quite frankly that had the Colts won that final game and made it into the playoffs, the story about Carson Wince would be completely different? (sounds like they were done with him even if they made the playoffs)

Right.

The truth is starting to get out and it's not pretty. There is simply no reason to get excited about Wentz being the QB here based off his past performance and the past testimonials of his coaches/owners/players.

Wentz is like the girl who has been engaged 3 different times. You start to wonder what the issue is after a while.

I will be honest, Ballard sounded disgusted with Wentz and Reich has already apologized for the mistake in bringing him to Indy. Why that would give any Commander fan the warm and fuzzies is beyond me. I have never seen a GM or owner do that with an ex-QB until now. Something is wrong with Wentz and now he is our problem.

This was a huge mistake and I am already cheering for Howell to be ready once Wentz fails yet again. Again, I am floored that some posters on here are excited for Wentz to be our QB. Wentz being better than TH is NOT enough of a reason.

While I'm not a big Wince fan at all, I think many of you (based upon readings/stories etc) are putting too much of the release solely on Wince himself. I'm not so sure he should hold 100% responsibility for being shown the door in Indy. Teammates from Indy backed Wince and said he was a stand up dude and teammate.
"If" the guy can avoid negative plays and turnovers he will be an adequate bridge QB for us. (3,990 yards, 26 TD passing, 5 TD rush, 9 Int, 65% comp) I'll take that all year long.

To be fair to Wince, perhaps Rivera can do something with him that others could not.

However,

"Is this not coachable?" It (he) hasn't been in two stops

"Is Wince a bad person?" Perhaps just a bad QB considering the prerequisite requirements for the job.

3 games Wince must win in 2022: Eagles 2x and Colts. This should be fun! Considering the moves that Philly has made, I believe that they are on track to win the division. If so, Washington won't beat them. The Colts game... at this very early point, flip a coin, that game could go either way!
Book marked!

Any theories on the Philly trade then?

If this happened just once, sure, there might be a sound reason or it could be viewed as a mistake. But he has now been traded twice in back-to-back offseasons.

Indy team mates have certainly not been in his corner as well.

I agree. Was he traded b/c he blew up in Jacksonville? What if he won that game, was he still going to be traded?

The GM (Chris Ballard) already answered this in the video that was posted earlier.

So its not possible that the Colts made a knee jerk reaction and traded him b/c of the last game? Then end up with Matt Ryan who is alot older. Do you see the Colts as a playoff team this year in the loaded AFC?

As far as the Philly trade goes, he would have been coming off a serious injury. The team enjoyed success w/o him and actually won the SB and guess what, that QB is no longer there either. Perhaps some personality traits creeped in when in Philly, WTF knows but after spending only 1 year in Indy and the team trades you, then shits on your head after your gone. I would say that Wince will be uber ready to play the Colts this year. Keep in mind, dude is not a scrub QB.

According to a report from Joseph Santoliquito of PhillyVoice.com, several unnamed Eagles were critical of Wentz and his personality:

"Indeed, sources describe Wentz as 'incredibly hard working,' 'determined,' and 'highly intelligent.' But the true Wentz is more nuanced and complicated, with sources describing him as 'selfish,' 'uncompromising,' 'egotistical,' one who plays 'favorites' and doesn't like to be 'questioned,' one who needs to 'practice what he preaches' and fails 'to take accountability.'

Notice the word "several" was used. Is this someone we should be "excited" to have?

How we see the colts as being is of no consequence. The video clearly stated why they didn’t want him

Not according to their own GM and owner.

Yes, Ryan should be a much better fit for the Colts because he is a talented and proven leader who gets along with his teammates.

Early projections are 9.5 wins
