Asterisk my ass.

Does the sixers get an asterisk for their win over Toronto?

Barnes missed 3-4 games and FVV missed 2 games but let's ignore that.

Injuries happen everyday

If Harden is as great as Philly thought he was when they traded for him then him and Maxey should be good enough to pull a game out in Miami and give Philly the advantage for Embiid likely return in game 3
If we break butler's ankle in the first qtr of game 1 then it'll be a fair series after that.

Like what more do you want people to say about the Siakam play? It should have been a flagrant and its unfortunate Embiid got hurt. We are not going to act like did some super dirty shit like push someone in the back while they are in mid air
That's what siakim will get but it'll have to wait until next year because he's at home now with his crack whore momma.

We're not all whining. Like I said, in hindsight he should never have been in the game, I agree on that. But I don't like some of the Raps fans celebrating a guy's injury.

None of us are saying he committed a crime. Several of us have said that we don't know if it was intentional or said straight up that they didn't think it was intentional. IMO, the biggest reason why I think it was at least intentionally reckless is because of the timing of the foul, which came right after Embiid's airplane antics.

I've seen far less called as a flagrant 2.

lol

Are you fucking kidding me?

Your argument that it should have been called a flagrant 2 is because there have been previous bad flagrant 2 calls?

You guys really should just stfu and stop embarrassing yourselves.

We're not all whining.

Most are.

Like I said, in hindsight he should never have been in the game, I agree on that.

I wouldn't even say "in hindsight". As a Lakers fan, if AD or Lebron was still playing during a blowout like that and got hurt, I'd be demanding an explanation from the coach. Heck, even if neither got hurt, I'd be pissed that he even took the chance.

One thing that is interesting, in an interview the day before the game, Doc got pretty defensive about blowing 3-1 series leads. I wonder if that had something to do with it?

But I don't like some of the Raps fans celebrating a guy's injury.

If you mean during the game, I'd say that funbags "we didn't know the extent of the injury" excuse applies to Raptors fans too. If any of them celebrated after the extent of the injury was known (which I haven't seen) then those fans need their ass kicked.

They should have rested him game 4, but he's the MVP.

Overall good to let him rest his legs for a week. A young guy will have to step up.

You guys are doing a remarkable job of creating strawmen and knocking them down.

Did I ever say he SHOULD have been given a flagrant 2? Or did @bksballer89 say that there was no way it should have been a flagrant 2?

Lakers vs. Heat bubble chip.

Raptors vs. Dubs Kawhi chip.

Asterisk my ass indeed.

Injuries happen.

It sucks.

But, it happens every year.

Lets just discount the Suns entire run last year if a Heat series win over Philly gets the * treatment.

No one is saying that the play should be considered super dirty.

Some of us ARE saying that the innocence of the play is in question given that it happened RIGHT AFTER Embiid did the airplane move.
He shouldn't have been in the game.

That would have negated the entire situation.

That was clearly a flagrant.

But, blame your Coach for leaving him at risk.

Seems likely Doc let all the " you've lost 3-1 leads multiple times " hot takes override his common sense.

Obviously in retrospect, he should have taken him out. And he was probably coming out in the next break. But this was a team that blew a 26 point lead last year. I can see why Doc didn't want to take any chances. So while I agree that he should have pulled him already, I really don't think it was unreasonable to have him in the game still.

To be clear, I am not a huge fan of Doc. Wasn't thrilled when we signed him. Still not thrilled with him. But I prefer we blame him for things that are really his fault.

I hate seeing injuries to key players this time of the season.

Really puts a damper on what I thought was going to be a damn good series.

Anyone hear how long Embiid will be out? Hopefully it's not long.
