Jones might be a good fit for Rodgers but GB weather probably wouldn't be good for an injury prone Jones. Not completely sold OBJ is a solid #1 on his own anymore. He had a triple crown winner on the other side of him with the Ram's. He'd have to be the guy in GB. Whatever happen's, I'd bet if they go after a FA, it will actually end up being someone behind them in the depth chart that ends up the real beneficiary.
I don’t know how Beckham could be counted on for the regular season. He just had his ACL worked on a few weeks ago.

Well you gotta give the Raiders credit for trying, I mean we’ve had 4 Presidents since they last won a playoff game and so why not:

The Packers failed the last 2 years with Adams and really nobody else. Do you want to try that and pay Adams big money and have the same thing happen 3 years in a row. Now they have 4 nice pics in the first 2 rounds and money to get decent free agent wide receivers so there is more than just 1 great guy. Rodgers makes receivers. Adams will not be as good in Vegas and Rodgers will be able to make those that the Packers get better than they were before. The receivers are the easiest position to replace and this years draft has many good ones

There are rumors on Landry

I knew he wouldn't accept the FT. I know a 1st and 2nd sound like a lot but with them making the playoffs, they are pretty late picks. 22nd and 53rd overall so meh. The contract is the biggy. WRs getting close to the 30 mil range is nuts. He's arguably in the convo as the best in the game but WRs are so easily replaced, it's ridiculous. Derek Carr has to be happy though. And in a couple years, Justin Jefferson, Jamarr Chase and others will be laughing all the way to the bank with upwards of 35mil plus per year.

Beasley now available as well; he and Rodgers can be anti-vaxer besties. Rumors that the Rams may look to trade Woods after the Robinson signing (they still intend to try to sign OBJ too).

Just read a report "from his agent" that he turned down MORE money from the Packers to play with Carr and the Raiders

The Packers offered more cash but the allure of playing with his former college teammate and good friend meant more.

Bro, you have no idea.....in previous seasons the Raiders would go out and sign a washed Julio Jones and think we got our #1 deep threat WR.

Beyond ecstatic right now. Chandler Jones to team with Crosby and Adams with Renfrow, Waller, Bryan Edwards (our 3rd WR) and Jacobs? Holy shit.

Adams to Vegas as well...

Good luck Russell Wilson, lol. I know the Broncos have a good defense but YEESH. You really chose one hell of a division. Chandler Jones will continue to haunt you.

I mean the Raiders are the worst team in the division on paper and still a major threat. IMO he chose a division that's stronger than the NFC West was last year, and the rest of the AFC is far more dangerous than the rest of the NFC outside the West divisions. LOL RIP...

Kansas City might take up the cellar at the moment, the rest of the West has made moves while the Chiefs lost a CB and S (maybe more?) and have done jackshit in FA

That's an interesting point. They franchised Brown Jr. but that's about it... and with Brown Jr. apparently getting a large contract they really have very little room to make any moves. They need to hit a draft big time on the defensive side otherwise Mahomes is gonna have to score 30+ every game...

Thing is.... their offense is still capable of that... BUT, both the Chargers/Raiders defenses have improved so far and the Broncos were already good... so....

AFC West is gonna be damn interesting to watch. Kind of like the NFC West last year before Wilson got injured.

Its possible.

The Chiefs basically made the big power play last year to rebuild their oline. They overpaid Thuney, used their 1st round pick to trade down for a rental, and then got 3 starters out of the draft. It was Veach's best offseason. The oline and LBer are rebuilt.

They had to tag Brown this year. Thuney still getting paid but has an out next year so they'll likely use his money in 2023 to pay Brown if I had to guess. By working the money this way, they've given Mahomes a top 5 to top 10 oline to work this last year and next year. By continuing that process, thats KC's move. Mahomes old oline is unemployed right now so it had to get done.

They got Frank Clark to take a pay cut so they could pay Reid to come in who is younger than Mathieu. Thats a smart move that the Chiefs need to make to keep things going.

The problem is that the Chiefs schedule is stupid hard even before factoring in all of the FA moves. The Chiefs matched up really well against the safeties of the Chargers and Raiders last year so thats still an advantage they have at the moment.

Still, the Chiefs making smart moves doesn't equate to them being able to match up with Adams or Wilson on the Broncos with the best defense in the division. Even if the Chiefs draft good prospects and get a mid tier WR FA they're still probably looking at the potential of only having 8-10 wins with the toughest schedule I've ever seen.

I suspect that in the first half of the season you're going to see the Raiders and Chargers come out strong and look like the teams to beat. As the season moves along, I could see the Broncos and Chiefs moving up as working in Wilson might have some growing pains and Chiefs will likely need some draft picks to step up.

The wife doesn't like Clark much, saying he's always hurt. Yeah, need to draft smart.

The acquisition of RW is nice but he is gonna be facing some mad pass rushes and could end up breaking down since he's the oldest QB in the Division. Not sold on them just yet. And learning a new offense, yeah. And Gregory can be a bit of a headcase, let's see what he does now that he got paid.

The Chargers? They are going to be scary good IMO. They need to hope Herbert keeps his upward trajectory going. No excuses for him or Carr now.

It's gonna be a dogfight. 3 teams can make the playoffs from the West.
