Fairly simple yes no question.

Quick back story-
Owners have 2 weeks after the conclusion of the Super Bowl to purge their IR slots. The purpose of this is to avoid the IR being used as an additional two roster slots throughout the offseason.
Numerous emails were sent out through Fantrax and numerous posts here on the Hoop were made reminding everyone of this.
I then forgot all about it after all but one team had gotten into compliance, forgot about it for almost a full month in fact.
Because life happened, Ram missed the deadline. I did, as promised in the messages and posts, purge Ram's IR's slots, which were occupied by Cam Akers and Parris Campbell.
Ram has publicly owned responsibility and, very respectfully, requested that be reversed.

So the question is, do we cut Ram some slack, yes or no?

If no, Akers and Campbell remain on the wire until one week before the rookie draft where they will be available on waivers, if not claimed, they'll be available to be drafted

if yes, Akers and Campbell will be returned to Ram's roster, where he will have one week to make the necessary drops to bring the roster into compliance, or the situation reverts back and there will be no additional second chances.

For obvious reasons, Ram's vote is null and void.

but if there is a third option of players are eligible to be drafted, then i may change my mind...

we are either overlooking these rules and creating a one time exception, or we are not.

Anything more than that we can certainly discuss it, vote on it, anything you guys want, but that would all be for moving forward. I am not re-writing the GD rule book for this singular instance.

This is a very simple question, with a very simple answer. Anything other than a simple answer, and the next two polls you guys do will be for my replacement owner and a new comissioner. allright?

As someone that has also been absurdly busy the last four months I can empathize. This is a one time exception for Ram. I don’t want to create a precedent for everyone to get a one time fix like this however I recognize that life comes first and if people are apologetic like @Ram Tough has been then I am in favor of making him whole.

I really don't want this to be an issue... I am sorry @TREFF and the rest of the league for this becoming a mess. The last thing I would want is for Treff to get frustrated and remove himself from the league. If anyone should be forced to leave it should be me.

I certainly don't want that either..I just want one GD thing to be simple, and settle it without 6 polls and seemingly unlimited options ..especially on the fly. And I'm beyond tired of doing that with each and every decision, large or small.

Agree. Could make this a “last” accommodation for the whole league. Its known from this point forward, nothing else.

One thing we could say is that i know some of us have cell numbers for each other. Some arent comfortable sharing, WHICH IS FINE! But the cell number is a fallback communication method. So if this occurs again, it can be used as a fail safe potentially. You would not have to do this, and you could even only give to 1 or 2 others. Everyone’s choice on it all. But of something happens then its on you… and not on the league or @TREFF .

ha..well..IF the polls could just be simple, I would honestly have little to no problem with them in general. Its when the options have subtle wording differences, and the results of poll A dictate the question in polls B&C, and on and on and on. Granted, sometimes that is necessary..so it is what it is
