It would be a bad move to go over the tax line today with a team not ready to contend for real.

Regardless of how willing to spend the owner is, got to be smart managing the team to make the most of the future window they may have.

Going over the tax line today would make it harder/more expensive unnecessarily to build a contender when they are ready.
