Oh no we don’t have to take Pickett at 11 if his value doesn’t warrant it
No I don’t think any of the trade available qbs will come here and Grap isn’t an answer . The raiders would be stupid to let Carr go
Doesnt matter we have no QBOh no we don’t have to take Pickett at 11 if his value doesn’t warrant it
And it will fail . Reaching for players in desperation results in that . Take the right guy at the right spot where the value warrants itDoesnt matter we have no QB
And that is what you want to seeSenior Bowl is more about what they do in practice than the game. That is where coaches get to work with them and see how they handle concepts, coaching and teams get to talk to guys they like.
we will see zappe , howell picket and strong in the sr bowlObviously my initial feeling is to avoid a QB at 11, Trade down get something for 22-23 and a extra 2nd in 22.
But there's so much we can do in FA with guys under 30 that, I wouldn't punch the air if we draft a Coral or Pickett.
Ideally, Howell gets disrespected and is still there in the 2nd
If he's not an upgrade over Jones, you pass on him all together. The Skins at 11 are in the perfect spot to choose the best WR in the draft whomever they think that is. In a good and deep WR class I might add. After listening to their first draft podcast, both Kiper and Mcshay believe Pickett is the #1 QB in this draft and will be there at #11. Mcshay also said that he doesn't believe Picket will be an upgrade over Jones for the Giants and has them passing on QB with their 2 first round picks.
So, if we fail to get a big-name veteran QB in FA or trade and we are sitting there at #11 on draft night do we have to pick Pickett at #11 b/c of need? He is an upgrade over TH so we have to take him, right??
POS | Player | School | HT | WT | Style | Projection |
---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
QB | Sam Howell | North Carolina | 6’0″ | 225 | Modern Dropback | 2nd/3rd Round |
QB | Kenny Pickett | Pittsburgh | 6’3″ | 220 | Modern Dropback | 2nd/3rd Round |
QB | Desmond Ridder | Cincinnati | 6’3″ | 215 | Versatile Playmaker | 2nd/3rd Round |
QB | Carson Strong | Nevada | 6’2″ | 215 | Traditional Dropback | 2nd/3rd Round |
QB | Malik Willis | Liberty | 6’0″ | 215 | Versatile Playmaker | 1st Round |
QB | Bailey Zappe | WKU | 6’1″ | 220 | Modern Dropback | 4th/5th Round |
And it will fail . Reaching for players in desperation results in that . Take the right guy at the right spot where the value warrants it
Now picket could burn up the sr bowl , burn up the combine and then and only then can you verify value

you dont have to do anything . thats how you draft bustsits a qb you have to take the risk
I would say that's where the value is if they pass on QB. We have invested so much into the defense. They have already said they are going vet at MLB. So you can cross that off.why a wr? what???
if you can get a good wr and he falls to us why not ? mac needs help . samuel is a possible answer at slot but brown showed me he iis a 4/6 simms could walk and he is a 4/6 AH could walk and he is a BU slot and carter is the KR and a spot contributor at wrwhy a wr? what???
how they are rated going into the SR bowl . i can only take it that sr bowl scouts see them this way

better then falco's for what its worthHey skinsdad, have you seen any Zappe games? Despite the insane numbers a few analysts say he has a weak arm. Soon as I saw that...i got worried
better then falco's for what its worth
wow, so consensus for sr scouts is Willis #1 not Pickett? all the buzz seems to be on Pickett that ive seenhow they are rated going into the SR bowl . i can only take it that sr bowl scouts see them this way
