No kidding. Still not entirely sold on the Cavs this year though in spite of their weak schedule. Wouldn’t surprise me if a healthy Toronto team passed them in the standings.
Cavs have played one of the tougher schedules in the league so far.

Maybe you and bks could get together and learn how to use the internet better?

Toronto def. better this year.

Siakam and Van Fleet are legit all star are borderline al lstar players in their prime. OG, Trent are good role players. Barnes is a phenomenal rookie. Toronto is a good team.

Cavs are young and obviously lost SExton and Rubio for the season.

I gotta think the Raptors pass them, and the CEltics and Hornets wouldnt surprise me either.
They might...but him saying we have played a weak schedule could not have been much more wrong.

Shooting % means nothing to me when you are doing it on 6 or 7 shots. Utah is going nowhere if that's what he plan on doing in the playoffs.
IF they go nowhere it will be because of their all world defensive center who goes for 15 and 15 on around 70% shooting? Couldn't be an off shooting night by their undersized, defensively challenged guards? Lack of size other than Gobert?

15.5 pts on 70% shooting seems pretty good to me.

do you realize how helpful it is to an offense to be able to count on that kind of efficient production every game?

70% shooting is ridiculous no matter where you shoot it from if yo uare getting 15+ points a game.
admittedly, this even surprised me a little. Have you seen the difference between Bam and Gobert in the most commonly used advanced stats (PER, VORP, O/D rating, WS)? Gobert blows him away...as does Allen.

I wouldn’t go that far…

* But, he is every bit as important as Steph for different reasons.

I always said when the Warriors were dominant that Steph, Klay and Dray were equally important to the teams’ success even though Steph was always the one placed on the pedestal.

Well, they figured out how to win without Klay out of necessity.

But minus Steph or Dray they just aren’t the same.
It isn’t really that far tbh.
Draymond is their Swiss Army knife.

*And yeah, that’s a given... but even Steph’s game takes a hit when DG is out for multiple days...and especially against the better teams.

If you guys don't see a problem with a guy Gobert height avg 6 shot attempts in that Clippers series then this convo is irrelevant
OK...and what about the other playoff series to help them get to the LAC series? That count?

Is there a problem if he has a -47 +/- in a first round sweep/loss? Gobert was +59 in round 1.

By your recent comments I have to wonder if you've been watching.

Ya gotta love this forum.

I read the article wrong. I was looking at his shooting % from that range and not shots attempted from that range

It wouldn’t surprise me either. Siakam, van Vleet and Trent all have playoff experience. They have a nice core but also experience, something most of the Cavs lack

Im done arguing with you. You got this one

Rudy is perfect. Best center in basketball and no need to get better. Can't argue with someone who can come on this board and don't think Gobert should expand his offense. Have a good day

I just better not hear any of you rocking out for Gobert right now not for not expanding his offense ever criticize Ben Simmons again. Both are great on defense and both stick with what they can do on offense with no plans to ever improve

oh, the irony.

Have your thoughts changed now that you know the truth? Also, it seems Bam does take 40% of his shots from 0-3 feet and nearly 65% from 0-10. Realize some of those from 3-10 feet wouldn't be in the paint but sure seems like he's in there more than you might think even though you watch every game. Maybe a guy 6-9 could try to improve and become a threat from 3 like many peers that size?

Any thoughts on Gobert - and even Allen - blowing Bam away when it comes to advanced stats?

Never said he couldn't get better.

If anyone should be done with this maybe should have been me after you tried to lie to prove your point. Perhaps when you said I lacked bball IQ while you were trying to prop up a player you thought took half his shots from 10-16 feet as though that would not be wildly inefficient (considering he only makes 40% from that distance)

I'd never do that (be done so early) as think of the comedy gold you provide that I could miss.

If Pat calls Cleveland right now and offer Bam for Allen, Cleveland would accept that deal so damn fast.

Watch more Heat games lol. Spacing isn't an issue for Miami.

You "just better not hear"? What are you going to do about it if you do? Lie again? Accuse that person of having a low bball IQ and not watching Gobert while you prove to have a low bball IQ while not watching the player/team?

something you might want to take into account in this comparison is Gobert is a true center while Simmons is a PG/wing player.

Ya think so do ya? Even though over the next 4 seasons Bam will be paid an extra $50 million? They know Allen fits well with this team.....and they likely know Allen blows Bam away in the major advanced stats as well as is very close or better in nearly every traditional stat.

what are you thinking Bam can offer the Cavs they aren't already getting from Mobley (if not from Allen) or don't expect to get from him before he even finishes his rookie deal?

You are comedy gold, my friend.
