I mean, defense kind of matters, no? Holding teams to 106 per 100 possessions with Gobert but 119 without.

Why do you keep slamming Gobert?

Did i say defense didn’t matter? But offense does as well. Just imagine if Gobert had a post move. It would require a double at times which would give their shooters open looks which is needed in the playoffs whe every team is absolutely locked in

He attempted 6 shots per game in the clippers series. Conley missed most of that series so everyone needed to step up. He should have been getting up 10 plus shots in that series especially with the clippers small ball lineup

Guess they are OK with Gobert not taking more shots nor developing an outside game.

Did anyone ever say he isn't important to Utah? You're a lame. A more aggressive offensive approach from Gobert especially against smaller teams can only help the Jazz.

Just imagine if Bam could make a 3...it would open up the lane for others or at the very least force the D to care about him on the perimeter.

FYI, I think Bam is a tremendous talent. Just wonder why you have such a double standard on this one. If you are one to care about advanced stats, Gobert blows Bam away in the most popular ones (as does J. Allen)

A 3 ball isn't necessary for Bam. He does attempt mid range jump shots and is rarely in the post so suggesting that he clogs up lane is very low basketball IQ.

Bam is working on that part of his game. If you don’t watch the heat play then just say it

He shot almost half of his attempts last year from 10-16 feet. You sound stupid suggesting that he clogs up the lane when he is rarely in the post

No kidding. Still not entirely sold on the Cavs this year though in spite of their weak schedule. Wouldn’t surprise me if a healthy Toronto team passed them in the standings.
Toronto def. better this year.

Siakam and Van Fleet are legit all star are borderline al lstar players in their prime. OG, Trent are good role players. Barnes is a phenomenal rookie. Toronto is a good team.

Cavs are young and obviously lost SExton and Rubio for the season.

I gotta think the Raptors pass them, and the CEltics and Hornets wouldnt surprise me either.

15.5 pts on 70% shooting seems pretty good to me.

do you realize how helpful it is to an offense to be able to count on that kind of efficient production every game?

70% shooting is ridiculous no matter where you shoot it from if yo uare getting 15+ points a game.

I'll say it again. The man avg 6 attempts per game in the Clippers series without Conley and with the Clippers going with Morris at C

If you guys don't see a problem with a guy Gobert height avg 6 shot attempts in that Clippers series then this convo is irrelevant

Shooting % means nothing to me when you are doing it on 6 or 7 shots. Utah is going nowhere if that's what he plan on doing in the playoffs.

and more shots isn't necessary for Gobert

To me what sounds like a poor bball IQ is thinking it's a good thing when a guy takes half his shots from 10-16 feet and doesn't need to add something to his game. You realize it's probably better if he shoot a lot more from 3 or in the paint?

He shot almost half of his attempts last year from 10-16 feet. You sound stupid suggesting that he clogs up the lane when he is rarely in the post

Decided to check this out and might be even worse is you were just factually incorrect. Either you have a poor bball IQ for thinking a guy who takes half his shots from 10-16 feet does not need to change his game, or you need to learn how to use the internet so you don't need to make things up. Adebayo took around 25% of his shots from 10-16 feet last season. Nearly 40% from 0-3 feet.
