TREFF
Fantasy Football Guru--??
Congrats on another great season to everyone!
@Robotech ..I tag you only because this will be your first offseason, but it's a refresher for all.
I'll renew the league for 2022 tomorrow evening. Adds/drops will be open until we close out the season one week after the Super Bowl (Feb 20th). Remember, IR spots MUST be empty by that date (Feb 20th). Anyone still occupying an IR spot will be cut and exposed to waivers, regardless of whether that's JK Dobbins or a third kicker.
On Feb. 20th, adds/waivers will be closed until one week prior to the NFL draft (this is intended to allow owners a bit of a "break" where FF can be put on the back burner, and not a year round commitment) Drops will always be available, all year round, every year.
The '22 NFL draft is set for April 28th, meaning waivers will be open on the 21st..after a round of waivers, it's first come first serve free agency until the NFL Draft, when it will be closed again until after our rookie draft.
Rookie draft will OFFICIALLY begin May 8th, although pick 1.01, and any subsequent picks, can be made at anytime after the season is renewed by stating your pick here on the Hoop.
Trading will be re-open after Feb 20th., once IR's are cleared, and be open all off season, throughout the entire season up to the deadline for the '22 season. Be aware though, roster limits must be maintained, and players cannot be added until waivers/free agency begins in April.
And finally..the draft is drop and pick format. You're welcome to drop players beforehand, and have the open spots, but it is not required. Roster limits must be maintained throughout the draft, if your roster is full, a player must be dropped before you pick. Picks do not have to be used, but if you intentionally skip your pick, it is lost, you cannot trade it after the fact or use it later. Slow draft here on the Hoop, 12 hour time limit per pick, not counting a six hour overnight window. (Last year's draft necessitated adjustments to the 24 hour limit). If timer expires, pick can be made at anytime, but the draft continues. If Real Life gets in the way, just say something, we can pause, but not knowing, with no word as to why, breeds some bad juju..so please just speak up if that's the case.
Any questions? By all means fire away.
