Yes. I do not see Lamar making it long in this league unless he develops more into a pocket passerso do you think other "styles" of QB won't be considered? a Lamar type for instance?

I think he will develop those skills as time goes onYes. I do not see Lamar making it long in this league unless he develops more into a pocket passer
Yeah, but the owner picked the last two. That's the problem. Give the football guys in the building a shot at drafting or trading for the next QB.what more can you do , clone one ?
those are your options , you can do combinations but thats it as far as plans go
i think carr , grap , marriotta are guys we have a shot at , maybe tua , but those arent franchise guys and if the fan base gets disenchanted with a KC then i am not sure they will be down with those guys either
shark has said this many times , we have been in a constant search for the franchise qb , we have drafted , moved up and drafted , traded for , signed and we have come up empty
i think we just have to hit on our qb in the draft so keep picking a qb every year somewhere in the draft till you get one
We have to break the cycle of drafting the wrong guy. Sucking in the right year helps but the WTF blew that with Griffin. He was exactly what he looked like. Cousins was a solid pick. For all those that said "WTF" you were wrong.what more can you do , clone one ?

Whether Fields is the real deal or not, I still don't understand why they weren't more aggressive in getting him. This team selected one spot ahead of Chicago and despite their fears, should have made the move to get Fields. Failing to address the "top priority" during the off season sent a chilling message to the team about this season and as a result, we're getting the type of "effort" that's led to a 2 -6 record.
The defense got exposed during the Tampa Bay playoff game, and nobody is afraid of Fitzpatrick, Heinicke or Allen. Had they gotten a QB as promised, the record would be closer to 4-4, possibly better depending on who that QB would have been.
RR, is currently saying that it would have cost too much.. that's bullshit but what do fans of this team expect from a dinosaur who has fallen back into his true self that wasn't working and forced him to change into that played out Riverboat Ron role.Whether Fields is the real deal or not, I still don't understand why they weren't more aggressive in getting him.
Probably looked into their QB room saw Fitzpatrick, Heinicke, and Allen and said... "We're good!"Whether Fields is the real deal or not, I still don't understand why they weren't more aggressive in getting him.
That's a little harsh Sty, but I hear you.RR, is currently saying that it would have cost too much.. that's bullshit but what do fans of this team expect from a dinosaur who has fallen back into his true self that wasn't working and forced him to change into that played out Riverboat Ron role.
Save this post!!That's a little harsh Sty, but I hear you.
Worth a good lookPickett vs Howell tonight on ESPN.
His job here is much tougher than it was in CA . This is an expansion team in every sense of the word and it has a carry over culture issueSave this post!!
If you take a look at RR's coaching record, the first thing that you notice is how inconsistent his tenures have been. A deeper look tells you that there's a direct connection between his successes and failures when he has "that guy" at QB.

That said, I fully expect that this team under Rivera, to have a much better third season simply based on pattern alone and definition of "much better.". It is the historical inconsistencies that are troubling, especially in light of the fact that, he absolutely identified the main reason for his successful seasons and thus far hasn't acted to put himself and the team in a situation in which the QB position is settled. If you note the 2011 season, (Cam was drafted) Rivera's focus was in building the Carolina defense. it wasn't until Cam's third season that winning began in earnest. He is following that exact same pattern now, the difference being he doesn't have his QB already on board two years in.
I don't want to be harsh on the guy, but damn, he should at minimum show something different about himself that gives indication that he's not merely replicating "Carolina north" here. (Remember he got fired for that)
