No he didn't. All he said was that the Sixers were given the names of the people that Simmons was working with. We don't know anything beyond that.

That’s all they have a right to know.

That’s the point

Unless there is evidence of them actually asking for more information than they are allowed to...you really have no point.

What evidence have you seen that they are asking for more than the names of who he is seeing?

Becuase they already had those names and they still fined him

This really isn’t that hard

So you are confident that the sixers are going to lose in being able to fine him then. Ok we will see.

They sign his paycheck, they get whatever they want

you don't have a right to his personal medical files. Especially when it's a toxic workplace issue.

unless they can prove he's not actually getting the treatment? Yes.

that's a separate conversation than the current information that we have. Which says:

1) he is going
2) the sixers know who it is
3) they want access to confidential medical information and that's why they fined him

You have no clue for sure why they fined him. You see big companies have these things called HR departments, not to mention lawyers. Whatever they did they were pushed to do and it will stand.

Apparently, it is for you.

I asked what evidence you have seen that the Sixers are asking for more info than they are entitled to. You have presented speculation about his fine.

If I remember the timeline correctly (a Sixers fan could probably let me know if I do or not)...he was fined before he gave them the names.

The question seems to be whether he gets that money back or not since he apparently eventually complied.

Maybe. If I have the timeline correct, he was fined before he disclosed the names to the Sixers. So it would be a matter of whether or not he gets that money back, even though he was late responding.

Regardless, Simmons is going to be responsible for a worse labor fight than it was already going to be.

He was just fined again

He was fined for refusing to see the psychologist and psychiatrist that the Sixers wanted him to see. He said he will not go to anyone who would share whatever they "think" his problem might be. He's legally correct. No doctor may share any medical information with anyone, including a wife. The person under care has a right to keep his medical information between him/her and the treating doctor.

Not all psychologists are doctors. Psychiatrists are MDs. Lot of difference between a MD and a PhD.

And?

Has what the fine was for been announced?

It was in the article I posted. They fined for a shoot around he was present for but doc rivers told him to sit out because he wasn’t actively playing yet

Then they did this: Sources: 76ers fining uncooperative Simmons

Which clearly says he was fined for not sharing info from his private doctor with the team

If it's a Workers Compensation type issue, they actually can tell him who to see. He still has the right to see his own doctors, but has to also see a "Workers Comp" doctor.

You realize that they are allowed to have more info than just the doctors name, right?

For example, they can ask how things are progressing and when he might be available to return to work.

Sixers want an all star and three first round picks for Simmons. I want to know where they're buying that blow. Stevens said that Simmons ""might"" be a decent reserve but he's not worth a top ten starter at any position. Every player in every professional sport has 'potential'. Simmons has never reached his and until he does, he's no better than a Romeo Langford. Who's actually playing better at this time.

If Simmons had real mental issues he wouldn’t be doing this, not with his bank account.
