I know it only October and that the draft is just over six months away, but we continually talk about needs and I thought looking at college players while they're playing might be fun and informative. I know a lot of you are watching certain college players. Dropping a name or two might get the rest of us interested.

I'm most concerned about the offensive line so my trip to Walter's was to see who they think are the best of the best.

OFFENSIVE TACKLE

1. EVAN NEAL, ALABAMA

A truly impressive physical specimen, Neal stands an imposing 6-foot-7, 350 pounds and blocks out defenders, as well as the Sun, on the blindside for Alabama. He was ranked No. 1 on Bruce Feldman’s Freaks list this preseason, and it doesn’t take too many plays to realize why. He has special people-moving ability for only a junior. There’s also not going to be a Penei Sewell situation for whatever NFL team drafts Neal, as he’s already started at left guard as a freshman, right tackle as a sophomore and left tackle as a junior in his career.

2. KENYON GREEN, TEXAS A&M

If Neal is the most impressive athlete at the tackle position in the class, then Green isn’t too far behind. He’s not the guy linebackers want to see climbing to the second level because his ability to locate is terrific. He’s started at every position except for center this season but his best position appears to be at tackle.

3. CHARLES CROSS, MISSISSIPPI STATE

Cross has taken a massive leap in Year 3 for the Bulldogs. After allowing 44 pressures in his first year of Mike Leach’s offense, that number has dropped to only seven this season. Against Texas A&M and Alabama in his past two games, he allowed zero pressures on 133 pass-blocking snaps. He’s so smooth in his pass sets and often is left to do his work on an island.

4. NICHOLAS PETIT-FRERE, OHIO STATE

5. KELLEN DIESCH, ARIZONA STATE

6. BERNHARD RAIMANN, CENTRAL MICHIGAN

7. JAXSON KIRKLAND, WASHINGTON

8. TREVOR PENNING, NORTHERN IOWA

9. ZION NELSON, MIAMI (FL)

10. DANIEL FAALELE, MINNESOTA

So...how many can we get?

And, as silly as this might sound, who's the coach going to be for these or any others playing OL???

I like Raimann. He's moving up on people's boards though. Was likely a 2nd rounder but if he continues to improve he's likely gone in the 1st.

Here's one the earliest mock drafts for 2022. This should be fun to come back and check on in April. Patriots are picking 9th.

According to these experts, the Arizona cardinals will defeat the Baltimore Ravens in the Super Bowl.

NE picking a WR that early scares me. But I guess I could live with it if they didn't trade for one or find one in FA.

If this prediction holds it would still give NE at getting a quality T/G early in the 2nd.

FUCK Can we at least be playoff eliminated before we start this bullshit?
Calm down Reb. It's all for fun at this point. *I find it hysterical that the meatballs are already desperate for clicks.

More so, it gets us all to educate ourselves rather than get brainwashed when the season is over. That and I'd rather red what someone in here has seen than to get a twisted point of view by someone trying to sell us a player.

By the way, you're the one that has us all watching Meyer.

I could see this happening though I see BAL making it before AZ. I think either TB or GB will win the NFC. I thought for sure Lamar Jackson would've slowed down by now but this season looks like his best yet. Barring any injuries this may just be their year.

I don't want BAL in the playoffs. As far as I'm concerned, the LESS I see of John blahblaugh the better...

I don't disagree but their defense is solid and Lamar is fucking unbelievable(until the day he isn't). He's practically uncatchable once he starts running but he's got a cannon arm as well. And as much as he sounds like a complete moron when he speaks it does appear he has a high football IQ.

I really hate that fucking team but they sure have the vibe right now.

I don't have an issue with the team and don't have that much of an issue with BlahBlaugh as a whole. I just find it annoying seeing him as he acts like the smartest guy anywhere. That smugness he projects rubs me like sandpaper on my eyeballs.

If Pats can't go and it's looking like that I will be pulling for the Bus. 1. Because my ole lady likes them. 2. It would be cool to see TB12 have a chance to get rings in all fingers.

Bills.
1) Because they haven't won a SB.
2) Because all of the Bills fans that I have ever met have always been the coolest of football fans.
3) Because they lived in the Pats shadow for so long, kinda like the little brother kinda thing.

I could root for SD too.

Fuck the Bills. Bills mafia? That's so stupid.

Fuck the Yankees.....errr........the Bucs.

I'm rooting for the Pats until I can't and then I'm rooting against everybody that's left.

Whenever there's a non-Pats game on my kid asks who we're rooting for and I always respond that we're rooting for both teams to lose.

Well yes that kind of goes without saying, only because it is the first thing I say when I wake up every morning.

I am also rooting first and foremost for the Pats until they are out of it. Then I hope for them to play spoiler somehow.
