Fleck's year by year coaching record.

2017: 5-7 (losing record)

2018: 7-6 (barely a winning record)

2019: one good season

2020: 3-4 (losing record)

2021: 3-2 (not all that good)

That's 29-21 (.580). Yep, Minnesota's great.
Dabo went 6-7 in his 2nd season, and it took him til his 4th season to have a 2 loss season. Fleck's the kind of coach he was going to have a down year in year 1 while the program adjusted to him and his way of doing things.

And his first 2 seasons at WMU were not all that good, either, but he was building something and it came to fruition in year 4.

2020 was a covid season, the NCAA doesn't even count that season against players eligibility, so count it against him all you want, just shows me that you are of low character.

2021 - Yes, losing to BG was a downer. But the season isn't over.

29th out of what? 2500 or so schools? lol That's close to the top 1%.

And they are 16th in Research Funding dude. 16th, that's public and private combined. NDm isn't even among the Top 100, lol.

Only one public University has more Nobel Laureates associated with them, with 30, Notre Dumb has what, 1 or 2 maybe?

and that‘s all those teachers who refuse to actually teach a class. With your community college background, you probably wouldn’t understand the idea of classes being taught by graduate assistants, and not the professors. Of course, compared to your education level, a grad assistant would be a huge improvement. So you have 50,000 students paying for a community college education. No wonder their average SAT scores are so low. And don’t even look at the Duluth SAT scores. They are even lower that the real U of Minnesota.

I couldn't read past the bolded part because I started laughing. So now you think Fleck is as good of a coach as Swinney.

Oh the laughs just keep on coming from you. Homer on! It's all you ever do. Well that and call people silly names if they don't agree with the nonstop homerism you spew on a daily basis.

so your idea of success is that when one of your coaches does a good job, he leaves. That sounds like a sign of failure for the program. Why wouldn’t the good coaches want to stay. Face it, they get out of Minnesota as quickly as they can. What you see as a positive is actually a sign of how poorly the coaches there see the program. At the most, it is a stepping stone to a better program.
You people are so demented and pathetic in how you think. LOTS of former Gophers stay on as asst coaches. But when the Head Coach is a future Hall of Famer, you either resign yourself to a long career as an assistant in hopes that you will get to take over after they retire, or you go off on your own like normal people do. Children fly the coop, they leave the nest, happens all the time, it's the natural way of things. UMn trains up people to send them out into the world to make a difference, and they do.

Notre Dame on the other hand produces little of value to the rest of the world. Felons, corrupt national leaders, Leader of the Contras, fire dancers? Wtf is a Fire Dancer? Norm and Regis? Phil Donahue? lol Hardly world changers. And then the Cult propagators. That used to be Notre Dame's main mission, right? Now NDm grads can hardly be differentiated from the rest of our pagan degenerate society.

No, I just call people who deserve to be insulted names. And usually only after they've tried to insult me first.

And I never said Fleck was as good as Dabo, just that Dabo, a very good coach, struggled when he first got to Clemson, where most believe it's a ,icj easier place to win than at Minnesota.

so you acknowledge that any Minnesota coach who does well runs away as quickly as he can. This is the most embarrassing fact of all. You would think they would want to stick around. Its funny that you want to compare yourself with Miami (Ohio) as the cradle of coaches. Probably pretty accurate. I see Minny and Miami(Ohio) as equals with respect to their football programs. Show success and get the hell out.

There is no "we". You didn't go to Minnesota. You're not a Gopher.
You don't get to decide that. I pay taxes in Minnesota, so I fund the Univ of Minnesota, not in full obviously, but in part. I was born and raised here in Minnesota and I chose of my own free will to continue being a Gopher fan despite their sucking in the 80s, after being raised up by Gopher fans, one of whom went to UMn.

And you aren't trying to claim that you played football for Ohio St, are you? lol

I doubt they'd have let you be on their cheerleading squad.

And even if you did play for OSU, you are not playing for the current team, so there is no "we" on your part, either.

Cept, The Ohio State University accepts you and anyone else who wants to claim to be an OSU fan, as just that, a FAN. Same with any and every other school out there, with or without any athletic teams.

Only about 1/3rd of the country has at least a Bachelors Degree, so are you trying to say the other 2/3rds of the country isn't allowed to be fans of any cfb team because they didn't graduate from the schools? lol

You are pathetic.

No, I am not acknowledging that.

Henry Williams stuck around for a long time. Bernie Bierman stuck around for a long time as well, as did some of his assistants. Others didn't want to wait around for him to retire and they moved on because Bierman was still coaching.

You can't win this argument because it's nothing but your desperate attempt to manipulate the narrative and anyone with a brain can recognize this.

Face it, Notre Dame's only claims of superiority come from what they bring/take in, lots of donations from duped cult followers, and lots of top notch students who end up getting ripped off because of Notre Dame giving them such a horrible degree of quality education, and hence you end up with Felons and Mobsters and corrupt national leaders and fire dancers and Regis and Norm and a bunch of Cult propogandists, oh and Ughley's McGee or whatever the fuck that dumb band's name is. And in the one thing they ARE good at, winning at football, or at least used to be good at, it seems that is all they can do is win on the field, because they apparently no longer team them the things about the game that would enable them to go on to become a successful coach. Leahy and Knute Rockne are from an age gone by when at least a couple Notre Dame grads left the program knowing how to not only play, but also coach.

Face it dude, Notre Dame is only rated highly for what it brings IN, and definitely not for what it puts OUT into the world, because Notre Dame doesn't produce much in the way of top notch people. A few, sure, but far too few for how highly rated the students it brings in are. It's pathetic, and a disgrace and shameful.

Most of what Notre Dame accomplishes is brainwashing the few Catholics who don't lose their faith while there, to be even more ignorantly devoted to the cult.

Show success and get the hell out.
Who showed success and got out? Fritz Crisler? That's going a long ways back dude.

Lou Holtz? He had a Notre Dame Claus put right into his contract, it just happened Notre Dame needed a new coach after only 2 years at UMn.

Otherwise Henry Williams was there over 20 years. Bernie Bierman was there from 32 to 50 something? Murray Warmath was there for over a decade.

Those who left and became successful chose to be head coaches elsewhere over being asst coaches to those 3 guys, basically. Biggie Munn's an exception, but he and another UMner were offered jobs as assistants under Crisler at Michigan and they helped him lead the Wolverines to their late 1940s success. And a couple DID go and coach at UMn, but this was only after the Administration had already given up on supporting football, so it would have been hard for anyone to win at UMn from 55-95. It's a credit to Murray Warmath that he did succeed

Another misfire. Did you serve your country? I'm very sure the answer is definitely no.

Things Oregon has never been able to accomplish, like Winning a Natl Title.

Williams, Crisler, Bierman, Warmath, all won Cfb Natl Titles and/or got into the Cfb Hall of Fame, and all 4 had multiple former Gophers on their coaching staffs, as far as we can tell. Records are not clear regarding Williams assistants for every year?
