Did the Brewers look at the scoreboard and decide "our work is done, let's call it a game now"?
Probably, those phuking Tuesdays.

Basically.

A #1 is situational. There are 30 #1s, regardless.

An ace is a starter who would be a #1 on most teams, but brings a little something extra. He is not just an inning eater.

An Ace is a CY-level pitcher. Though sometimes, numbers don’t really apply. Bum was an Ace for us almost from day 1, for example. A single team can have multiple Aces, but only one #1, even though an Ace is BASICALLY a subset if #1s.

Go into a thread you have no interest in and declare you have no interest in the topic. LHG asked…
Um, is this thread now just about your pitching nomenclature? I hadn't heard.

You're testy today. I'm just busting your balls.

I suspect that if we see any Giant relievers pitch it will be Jackson and/or McGee. McGee, to get some rust off. Jackson only if two relievers are used, and him because he probably won't be on the postseason roster.

By the way, I don't understand calling up Long, not using him for two days and then sending him down for Jackson. Weird.

By the rules, yes.

By the integrity of the game, no.

It was one of those split-second base-touching transfers that get called…
Right? SS’s can do a phantom tag, but don’t you dare come off the bag for a split second.

They wanted a lefty for today is my only guess.

Is the phantom tag still a thing? I thought that ruling was reversed.

If it is still a thing, GREAT analogy.

No idea honestly, I’m drink.

I like how drink sounds. Not gonna change.

Why did we have to finish vs the Padres? I can’t watch OUR broadcast of this game (and the aftermath)
