Here's what I saw tonight :

1, Turnovers kept Dallas in the game. Was it good defense or poor play by the Bucs?

2. Dak is back, although he did get a lot of empty yards.

3. Scoring defense, tops almost every other defensive stat.

4. CeeDee Lamb is going to be a problem for every team. Zeke, didn't carry the load, perhaps their run blocking isn't as good as advertised. Dallas TE play is suspect.

5. You're going to need consistent scoring of TD's to beat the better teams. TB scored TD',s, Dallas needed to have more of them.

6. Dallas run defense has improved somewhat, their pass defense needs work.

The Dallas secondary looked very suspect tonight. Dak had to move around an awful lot also. No running game? Didn't get Brady off his mark enough.
Kind of surprised either team never really established any type of run game or with any consistency.

I think both teams played to their strengths and against the other teams weaknesses.

Their defense, especially against the deep ball surprised me in how bad it was. This is a strength of Fitzpatrick and must be explored in the head to heads.

To be fair Dallas did have on of their top OL men missing last night so that might help in explaining their poor run output and some protections in the passing game. Given that Vita Vea is an absolute monster that's requires double teams in order to stop him.

The best way to stop Brady is cloaked in how poorly defensive backs are trained/ taught. At present almost every team has their DB's "chase" potential receivers. Doing this, their backs are to the ball and they are at a distinct disadvantage on any given play. We saw a bunch of this last night as P.I. after P.I. was called for running into the pass catcher or face guarding the same translated into the P.I. call. I don't know why this is done in today's game,

I agree, neither truly established any sort of typical run game, however those short passes to running backs are now a more typical way to involve the running back and get him in space rather than the old pound the line (gap play) methods. Is this the new norm? Has this expansion of the "pass game" supplanted what we've come to expect from the run game? If true, having a former WR at running back could be revolutionary!

In agreement with your above and to add...
Dak looked great last night given his 18 +/- pressures he endured, like really good and I was impressed considering his off season. He carried the team last night. Didn't see much from Parsons who could have possibly been getting his feet wet to the NFL game. VV was just a beast last night. As competitive as this game was to watch, Dallas played a poor first half imo, and the Bucs turned it over too much. We match up well in all areas with both teams as well. Ball should come out quickly into our play makers hands much like both teams executed last night. TB12 had waaaaayyyyyyyy too much time to pick the Dallas defense apart. Game 1 and both teams will improve, that is scary.

Expect Davis to be much like parsons . But he will get better as he learns

No disagreement with your take either, however, I have to add my concerns for Dak's ability to throw the ball.
If you count games played last year, he's averaging 40 to 50 passes per game. Now, it's possible that he's young enough to withstand that amount of work, but without a run game, NFL defenses are going to pin their ears back a get after him. There's also a big risk of him getting what I'm calling "Rothlisbergered," that is noodled armed later in the season.

I wish injury on no one. If Dak cannot throw by seasons end, you can blame Kellen Moore. I think you see a change in run-pass % this week in Dallas. That would bode well for us however.

Dak looked good. Lamb looked good.
The dallas defense did not look good however, which is a step up from how they looked last year, which was wonderfully spectacularly awful.

A competent WFT offense will put our team in contention for the nfc east title.

I thought Parson actually looked great, he was going against the GOAT, Gronk and an above average o line.
He also blitzed several times during the game too. If you go back and look at film, he could have had a INT in the Tampa's endzone and also pick 6 when Brady recklessly threw a pass to fournette. several weeks from now, he will look the part of an elite SLB. If Davis resembles Parson against the Chargers, I will be ecstatic.

I thought he looked like a rookie in his first game. In a few weeks he is going to be a beast.

I'm not wishing injury nor implying it. The reference was connected to having a dead arm as big Ben did at the end of last year because they passed so much.
