I just completely ruined the life of a UNC poster on the ACC board...man he is going to have a rough thing to wake up to.

We have been discussing the UNC investigation, and anyone who reads the main board knows that I have been all over this and ahead of the curve. I kept hinting things to this UNC guy who has no objectivity but he kept denying, denying, denying and today posted a link to this:

National College Football Report: NCAA Finds no Major Violations at North Carolina

He was thrilled and laughing it up how he was right and the rest of us were wrong....so I sat on it for a while, knowing it was false, until I knew he was asleep, and then just posted this gem:

"So...I was curious who this "National College Football Report" was and where they may be getting their information. Since blog spot was the place where it originated, I thought that something may be fishy, so I wanted to check it out.



I did a Google search for the place and shockingly....it did not come up in the auto complete.....and then even more shockingly....it got no hits on the first 5 pages.

I then searched just news and once again, nothing on the first 5 pages.....

I next searched the title of the article....once again nothing on the first 5 pages....



Finally, I tweaked the search a bit and came across the results...



one hit...linked back to the blog that has it's first entry dated on July 22....hmm...a real down and dirty news organization...

another hit to the UNC Scout Board under the topic "this sounds promising". I do not have a subscription so all I can get is the beginning of the post which states...

"I choose to believe the national college football report over the national ..... I've used National College Football Report for my college ..."



This says a lot about the Carolina fanbase, in my opinion. If thw quoted poster chooses to use this because they used it before, it had to have literally been in the last 3 weeks. I would love to see the whole post. This is some of the weakest stuff that I have ever seen. A blog set up to try and promote positive vibes through Chapel Hill....and then it gets cited and taken seriously by the fans...only to be spread to the masses....and then exposed....




So, I ask you......





....how credible is your source?"

It has the potential to be much much bigger. I have a good breakdown of it as it transpired over on the main board. It may take a while to read, but notice the dates and stuff, it is about as accurate as you can expect from a non-reporter or investigator. It is highly entertaining:
