IMO, they brought fitz into start. Fitz is going to have to have a terrible TC for TH to get the nod as QB1.

We've only seen TH for 4 plus quarters.

Even if they brought Fitz into start, if TH outplays him, they would give the nod to TH. Fitz doesn’t have to be terrible to not win. TH needs to be better for Fitz not to start.

i dont expect fitz to suck . i expect the ball to be pushed down the field more and perhaps some ints and a bad game or 2

CDC and sometimes KC frustrated me with the check down when the marker was needed . DH was awful . i liked what falco did vs bucs

If you believe in Faith i believe Fritz will get injured by week 3 out for year and Heineke comes in and kick ass then in 2022 we dont have to worry about drafting a qb Heinecke will be the guy for 6 years our new qb is in middle school or just starting Middle school

he's going to have to be way better.

Why? Ryan Fitzpatrick is a $10 mil QB on a one year contract. If Taylor Heinecke plays well and is a possible long term solution, they will give him every opportunity to do so.

I agree Fitz was brought here to start…it doesn’t mean he will.

I have already said I just want the best guy to start .... whoever that is.

Sure coaches missed on Warner and maybe between injuries etc. they missed on TH but there is very little tape on TH too. That makes a difference.

Fitz strikes me as a fun guy but that only works if he produces. I have said in the past it would be a great story to see a kid from ODU do well.

It will all become a lot more clear on the field.

actually i think we have 3 qbs who can start and win games for us for extended periods of time . if falco wins the job then great . if allen wins the job then great . if fitz wins it then great

i am trying to temper my excitement about this team because many things can trip us up but i fell like we are building , i feel like we are better at wr , qb , TE and LB as well as the secondary

but injuries , players coming back down to earth , tougher schedule could haunt us

You really think TH is going to beat out Fitz in training camp? Didn't RR already name Fitz the starter?

No I don’t. I never came close to making this statement. i said it is possible because Fitzpatrick is not an entrenched starter.

Who cares if RR named Fitz the starter for the beginning of training camp? Sure…I am sure he has said as much. This means nothing for week 1 of the season.

Fitz is the entrenched starter unless of injury. If Fitz plays like crap for the first month of the season I could see a change. Just like a Haskins situation. Weren't you one of the many who wanted to stick with haskins last year b/c of his draft status and youth?

Please look up the word entrenched. It means firmly established. Fitz is the current starter and has never been entrenched in his career. That won’t start at 40 on a new team.

Of course I was. I believe in giving players the opportunity to succeed and to fail. We had nothing to lose by playing DH. DH was a POS. It is all good. Things don’t always work out.

This situation is not close to the same. We have a minor investment in Fitz. We have a minor investment in TH. We have a minor investment in KA. The job is currently Fitz’s.

I know that is whole point. The job its Fitz unless he blows up or gets hurt

I think some are skimming through post, I'm all for Fitz leading us to a possible consecutive postseason appearance.
If injury, or the Fitz magic runs out, I believe TH is ready to play just as well if not better than Fitz. He's not afraid to sling it.
--I personally do not see KA, if inserted into the starting line-up at any time, being successful -- thats just me.
Again, I fully support QB1 Fitz and hopefully QB2 Taylor H

to me it doesnt matter , all 3 have good points , all 3 can start games and win for us (in some cases for only a short period ) RR chose allen over CDC when he had to make a change . that says something (what it says i dont know ) but i will say that if allen stayed healthy we could have gotten the 7 wins to make the playoffs IMO

You completely discount the other players in your statement. You make it seem as if the other players don’t have a chance to make their own impact. If TH practices and the balls don’t hit the ground, and he is making those wow plays with his legs, and his offense is putting the ball in the end zone, you don’t think HE can impact the decision.

That is where you are wrong. Entrenched is Russell Wilson. No matter how perfect his backup is, Wilson is the starter. That is entrenched.

I don't know if it is about giving up on TH or not knowing what Allen did last year. In his limited play his completion percentage was 69% with 4 TDs and 1 Int.

Tell me where the bad part of that is?

I think Fitz starts and Heinicke and Allen battle it out for 2nd string.

The whole point RR brought Fitz here is for the veteran leadership and play. Sure TH can light it up in training camp but its training camp. Its not regular season action. I cant see Fitz not starting week 1 unless he has the worst training camp of his life or gets hurt. TH looked promising in the playoffs but it was one game. No way RR is going to hold that one game better than what Fitz has done in his career.
