After watching last years film I like Lucas better. Leno seems short and stiff. Arms kinda short. Lucas and Flowers on left side seems stout.

He was an alternate for the PB after the 2018 season, but from what I've read, his play fell off pretty hard in the next 2 seasons, and that, along with cap relief, was why he was released once the team traded up for Tevin Jenkins in the draft a few weeks ago.

Ordinarily, he'd be good, veteran insurance, but the 5M insurance says he should be starting. So, the devil will be in the details of his 1 year contract. How much, if any, of the 5M is guaranteed? If the answer is none or even as much as 1M, this is a savvy move b/c it means the team can cut him or get him to take a paycut if he isn't going to win a starting spot in TC.

Me too however it seems many are selling Lucas short. He did a commendable job at LT last season. Better than the 14 yr vet in Penn the year before.
