The family will spend mothers day up above Springville in the mountains, about 20 of us in a cabin, yep....good luck. Was suppose to leave a few hours ago, yep...fucked start.

So thought I'd answer Manster before we left.

Going to make a week of it, one rule......no electronics. Only one cell phone.

Ok finally time to go, so a litle traveling music........

So much for next Monday.

I knew it was too good to be true.

What would the rest of us have done without Raisin here to get us involved and chatting?

That's it shut the Hoop down, Raisin is taking a sabatical in the woods.

During Smith’s college career he set world records for the 220-yard (straightaway) dash and for the 200-metre races (with turn and straightaway) and was a member of a 4 × 200-metre relay team that set a world record (1967–70) of 1 min 22.1 sec.

Maybe, you don't know as much as you claim.

I'm not track guy but yes I will be able to find how many played in the NFL.

I can also find a great number of track guys signed by NFL teams just because of their speed who amounted to absolutely nothing.

As I said at the beginning, speed in the NFL is great, but if the guy can't catch, or run correct routes he's worthless.

Oh FYI most of the skill position guys also ran track in high school, but that doesn't make them TRACK guys.

I saw Tommie and his brother Ernie (13,7/9.4 Oregon State) run at Lemoore HS back in the day, (Lorenzo Neal alum). Saw himrun many times while at San Jose State, well aware of everything he did and have talked about that 4x1 where he ran down Jimmy Hines the soon to be Olympic 100m cgamp.

Smith one of only three sprinters in history to be world ranked in the 100/200/400 (Herb McKenley/Henry Carr others). He also held the 400 world redord and was histories first sub 44.004x4 relayer. Ah......the 4x2 is not the 4x1.....honest!

Tommie Smith was unlike anyone we had every seen before, a legit......freak of nature. He was able to do something nevr seen before......no decelleration phase. Once he hit his max velocity/topend he maintined/sustained that max, he never decallerated. this is unheard of in sprinting.

i think I have posted this somewhere he before, this is that 19.5 world record.

Don't tell me you don't the difference from the 4x1, 4x2, 4x4, are you kidding me?

Manster, stop all this stupid.....don't know as much as .......yes I do guy amd it should be real obvious.

Smith went to San Jose State or "Speed City". When he lived on San Jose he was surrounded by a gang of world class sprinters, who?
