An epic collapse by the Giants to miss the playoffs. Had to win one of the last three games but panic set in and they couldn't get it done at home..
Glad I’m not a Giants fan.

It is rough having to suffer through 5 World Series appearances since 1988 And 3 Championships in the last 10 years. I just ask that all of you fans of other teams find it your hearts to take pity on us.

Ha ha! I saw it was 6 to 2 in the 6th inning when I posted then i suffered some gastric distress and by the time I got out of the bathroom the Padres were up 9 to 6. damn it.

Giants fans have some hard bark on them from all the disappointment over the years. This was typical Giants bullshit.

Quite a haul for the Cubs in return. Good to see that the Padres didn't have to give up Gore.

honestly I think the Padres overpaid. Musgrove looked great in 2020, but we're only talking about 39.2 innings. Musgrove has the same career ERA+ as Lucchesi (96), not to mention he has 2 fewer years of team control than Lucchesi. MLB.com also has Hudson Head as the Padres #7 prospect and Omar Cruz has dominated the lower minors so far.

Mets also got a fairly intriguing catching prospect in Endy Rodriguez. He's hit .276/.389/.452 in 265 PA so far, only 20 though he hasn't reached A ball yet.

Even on a cheapskate budget the Giants have fielded a solid team except for the pitching.
