If you're expecting or thinking the Skins are landing 2 LBs the caliber of Levonte David n Devin White. It could happen I guess, but I'd say you're setting yourself for disappointment, homey.

Didn't say they both had to be from free agency but they absolutely need 2

I had suggested they trade him in an earlier post, different thread, but after some research realized that he has as close to a no trade, no cut, no injury settlement contract as there might be in the NFL this year. That said, if he's healthy their options are to play him or have him on the bench as the most expensive backup safety in the league. Here's a look at his contract particulars. The league year began yesterday and his contract becomes fully guaranteed on March 22, 2021 ( 4 days from today)

Let's face it, this is a defensive minded coaching staff, and accordingly have likely identified linebackers in the draft that they can get.

I'm good with that. And hey, if they get 2 LBs on par with David n White, I don't care if its via the draft, FA, and someone cashed in one their 3 wishes with a genie, I'll happy. I'm just saying that's a really high country has set. If the DL is as good as advertised we won't need super-studs @ LBs, they'll just need to be above average and they should good, One quality we do need in a LB I believe is legit cover skills. Be it a MLB/ILB or an OLB/WLB. We need at one backer that can cover RBs n TEs.

No matter what Collins says on social media, he will do what Del Rio request or sit. Looks like he's paid no matter what

They were pretty emphatic about upgrading the LB position so I'll take a wait n see approach. They do need at the very least 2 starters plus Holcomb. They have nothing really but a little film on JHC so I'm thinking no commitment to him by RR. We shall see.

JHC’s role throughout his career In DC has been as a coverage LB . If he shows well in that area he has a chance for a role

And while he opted out during this pandemic, I'm not sure that will be over looked all though he had every right to do so. I have seen several players who opted out last season get the axe already from their respective teams. "Can't miss what you didn't have", type situation.

he opted out because one of his children was a high risk . they wont hold that against him
