So RR made a better offer to the Lions than the Rams did, inquired about Wentz's damaged ass n Goff's turn over machine ass , but hasn't bothered to. Inquire about Watson eh. Sigh. Maybe I shouldn't be surprised. He did after all, just give Haskins the starting gig last year even when there had to be clear evidence he wasn't ready. He also had the gall to say Allen could've did what Smith did last year. No doubt Allen's 1-3 record in games he started last year n getting knocked out of 2 of them by halftime made a real positive impression on RR's judgement about Allen.

Made a better offer to the Lions for Stafford than the Rams. Had interest in both Wentz n Goff.......good fuckin grief. Lotta board members had to love that I imagine as so many are bound n determined that our next QB be a journeyman or 2nd tier type with baggage. Maybe RR makes a cam't refuse trade to get Joe Flacco or Blake Bortles.

I get that, but what I'm saying is, he was the only guy I was willing to trade assets for.

I love that RR is missing out on certain FA and then maximizing on the ones he does sign.
Now if everything was exactly the same in the game vs the BUCS...but we had Amari....then maybe we win, i still dunno

Well, don't consider it a loss. Perhaps we will look back on the "no trade" for Stafford and thank our lucky stars. So the Rams are all in and must win a Superbowl now. Maybe next year will be our opportunity to obtain a legit franchise qb

For sure, I was glad that we didn't try to beat that offer by including one of the D Lineman. You trade Payne, Allen, Sweat, or Young for a Watson, not Stafford.

If you were going to give up the farm this year then Watson would be the guy you'd do it for. I think the same about Lawrence. Neither is going to happen though. JMO ... but I don't think either will happen.

I want to give him the benefit of doubt concerning Watson based on my own stand about patience. Although they failed to get Stafford, making bids on Wentz and Goff is puzzling in light of the news that they didn't try to inquire/bid on Watson at all.

So, the benefit of the doubt comes into play because both Wentz and Goff were confirmed to be up for trade, and as of this post, Houston appears to be sticking to a no-trade position on him. Now if Houston relents as I know they will, and Washington doesn't make every attempt, then that's clearly situational football malpractice and cause to give several side-eyes and a whole bunch of these__ :L:L:L!!!

Sounds like they tried to at least give the barn away for Stafford, and while I'm OK that it didn't happen. I can't say I'd be mad @ RR had they been successful in the attempt. Though I'll be honest, while Stafford probably has as much talent arm-wise as anyone in the league. I have wondered why he hasn't been more successful winning-wise.

The thing that got me all unctious far as the article @Stymietee linked was the assertion about inquiring about Wentz n Goff. What was the purpose of that? Wentz has a serious case of the yips that is in serious need of a QB Whisperer. Plus given what's transpired over the last year, is a bit of a butt-hurt poopbutt. And Goff after a couple good seasons. has almost as many turnovers 38, as TD passes, 42, the last couple years. Asking about those two isn't even due diligence, it's a waste of time n breath.

I've changed my mind on MM.

If released, Washington must sign him to either a one or two-year deal in the $12-$16M range with the goal being that he won't be wearing Burgundy and gold this year, but deep steel blue, battle red, and liberty white.

Qbs are so tricky. On one hand I'd rather sign Mariota than trade away a #2 for Darnold. On the other hand I'd hate to see Darnold go to SF and kill it, when we could have had him.

Casserly said Darnord would be a good fit for SF because he struggles with decision making. In Kyle's offense there are a bunch of bootlegs and rollouts where the field is cut in half and he would have probably no more than two reads. ie..rg3

Getting Fields or Lance on a rookie deal and having them be dynamic would be ideal. However if we gut our draft for a bust, that probably cost Rivera his job and we are back to square one.

I'm just gonna sit back and hope for the best. Just interested to see how this all plays out.

Good plan. That has been my plan all along. So many rumors etc. Just chilling until they decide to do something.

Did the Skins make an attempt to trade for Stafford? I saw it reported that they made inquiries. I was unaware they made any offers though.
I heard 1st, 3rd, and an unnamed player.
