From the sounds of the tweets he is hitting free agency
The real question is why didn’t our FO trade him last year?
Could have gotten a decent draft asset in return. He is still a starting caliber player on most teams.
These are the types of roster building moves that good programs make and the WFT always seem to miss on.
if he signs with another team and we handle our off season like we did last season we could get a good comp pickThe real question is why didn’t our FO trade him last year?

Jacksonville?yes , why wouldnt he ? he wants a starting gig
He looked slow to meHe is still a starting caliber player on most teams.
He did but he was never a speed rusher, he is a power rusher. He looked slow to me
But we are so close to actually winning something worth while, why jettison him now? Why not let him be part of that as the "elder statesman" who would certainly have a role on this team. Now, if Kerrigan says I feel I have earned the right to be a starter elsewhere, well then you give the guy his wish.Kerrigan is an asset on a rebuilding team. This team is two years too late to maximize their return in trade and that value is diminishing as each year goes by. BTW: for those who claim that I simply dislike this guy, I'll ask, doesn't he deserve better than the few playoff appearances that he's gotten here? So I challenge that notion with one of my own in which I say that anyone who claims to care about the guy and wants him to retire as a WFT player, do you really hate him that much?
First, we're not close the team finished with a 7-9 record (7-10 if you count the playoff game) and this has been where this team has been mired for decades. Trust in Ron? uhmmm ok, but what's there about him that screams better than middle of the pack!?But we are so close to actually winning something worth while, why jettison him now? Second, Kerrigan is an asset that could have garnered a significant return towards the stated "rebuild." That window has nearly closed and like 100% of all NFL players, winning a championship or being part of a championship doesn't go away in favor of being an "elder statesman" on a losing or middle of the pack team. He's been a great contributor to this team, but at some point it becomes increasingly more difficult to look in the eyes of players like him and say... "forget your dreams man, we're going to deny you that and ourselves the opportunity to improve because your locker room contributions matter more to us!"But we are so close to actually winning something worth while, why jettison him now? Kerrigan was fully ready to go in 2020! His trade value peaked in 2018/2019 before he got hurt.Kerrigan was hurt last year, so he wouldnt have gotten anything in a trade.
He was an asset to the team this year as a mentor for Chase Young and the rest of the young defenders. I believe CY calls him a “dog,” and has mad respect for
I do NOT want him to go, but cant blame him for wanting a starting gig, which I wouldnt do if I was a gm of another team.
I hope the WFT resigns RK at a team friendly price, and will wish him well if he goes elsewhere.

Probably true, most of us at 32 or 33 lose a step ... even Darrell Green did. He was only running a 4.28 at that age.I'm hip. RK was never a speed demon or one of those can bend the corner type guys. I'm not saying he was once fast n now looks slow, but I am saying he looks like he has lost a step.
