I can understand their line of thinking; especially after witnessing the cap hell the Cup Champs just went through. With guys like Giroux, JVR, and Leino all making around 1 mil/per, the Flyers are just begining their road to the circus. Giroux will be a 5 mil/per player soon.

Why would Kovy get more than Crosby? It doesn't necessarily have to make sense - it's just the way it goes sometimes. Even Bill Metzler said he could see Carter getting a huge contract (I.E. 6-7 million) if he produces at a normal rate this upcoming season.

i think our team is fine. we trade picks although we pick up young players as well.

our young players are richards, carter, hartnell, leino, giroux, jvr, zherdev, coburn, carle, meszaros, and leighton. they are all under 30.

and they always say the cap will go down and it just goes up. hopefully it continues. as far as not keeping our players it is true. some players will have to go. we could get young players who are cheap and start all over again. every year since the lockout the flyers have been near the cap.
