This team could be very dangerous in a couple years.

Texas played 25 - if the OL comes together and we get some basic, competent QB play - watch out

I was thinking that

but for some reason I don't see them being that dangerous in the future I don't know why

maybe it has to do with how past times recently Clemson has brought in talented players and then fails to use them.

even this year they ended it losing 3 out of 5 including a 37-13 loss to NC State.

yea, we had 42 on the roster I believe. I wish I was as confident as ya'll. I do think we can make a run, but we have to overcome "pulling a Clemson." We shall see, but thanks for the vote of confidence!!!

Looks like Clemson and VT may be meeting a few more times in the near future. Hopefully we'll actually be able to put up a fight next time. You guys seemed to have our number this year.

We may very well end up being in the same predicament as years past - blessed with talented skill players and cursed with a poor offensive line.

Clemson fans love to play the "42 freshman" card but the truth is they only have 2 on their 2 deep and there were younger teams in the ACC

You certainly showed us. We'll just have to be content with being best in the ACC instead of the youngest, eh?

I never said you didn't beat us, bc you did badly. But the "42 freshman" thing is a joke.

Clemson was the highest finishing non-sec school for the 2011 oversigning cup. They signed 29 freshman when they only had 22 slots, hence some players were handed their walking papers.

It's no joke. It's a fact. I don't think anyone is boasting about it or using it to say we won with freshman, at least not here. It's just that it's almost half our roster is freshman. Nothing more, nothing less. We are a young team and so are ya'll.

How is Florida State looking for next year? I know their team has some young talent as well.

if you go by * rankings FSU, Clemson, and Miami will always have more "talent" than any of the other ACC teams. I dont know specifics about FSU but i know their roster (like always) is filled with 4-5* guys.

So... Clemson didn't play 29 freshman, they played two? This thread isn't exactly in depth. Were there a lot of freshman on special teams and not very many on offense and defense? Is the OP exaggerating with these numbers?

I counted 31 Freshmen that played, but one of those may get a medical redshirt and have his stats wiped clean.

yeah and Texas was also what, 7-5?

It seems that Texas has more trouble than just young players. Their improvement this year wasn't what it should have been, given the recruits they have pulled in. They were working with a new staff, but 7-5 is not acceptable with their personnel. Something has to change over there. It has to be hard to see brighter days for a Texas fan right now.
