So someone who needs OF help would need to give up another good OF off their roster? Makes no sense. And if the OF is worth anything, he isn't expendable to a team needing an OF.

As a Ranger fan I've been through this dance too many times. We will hear bits and pieces and interest from teams right up until 3pm. Then we will hear about how "deals can submit at the last second and take up to 30 minutes to trickle out".

And then at 4pm we are still standing here, holding our peckers. Then JD will hem and haw about "the right deal didn't materialize" and Evan Grant will speak in superlatives about what he is hearing from other teams FO about JD holding his best for the offseason.

You don't fill a hole by first creating one. You will either get a solid OF prospect or you will get a spare MLB OF. Won't get a good MLB OF for Joey.

If they trade Gallo it needs to be for prospects and very good ones at that. No current MLBer needs to be a part unless they are a rokkie.
