Open comment to the PAC 12 President.

The West was conquered and populated by those of adventurous stock. Those willing to carve thier place into a hazardous wilderness despite the dangers of death disease and famine. This holds true today. Washington, Oregon, Utah, California, and Arizona are still the harshest environments throughout the continental USA, and requires strength and fortitude to live and work in. Likewise it takes a special kind of heart and spirit to attend the schools that populate these regions. Our students and student athletes aren't looking to back away from adversity, or challenges, they look to embrace them head on. To cancel our out of conference games would be an act of cowardice, and would make us no better than the conference that has already done so, all while calling the PAC 12 weak. I am an Oregonian (Duck), Born and raised, as well as an alumnus of ASU. Dont do our Alumni, our current scholars, educators, future scholars, or fans the disservice of standing them on a shelf and backing down from challenges before they ever get the chance to face them. The likelihood of potentially spreading / contracting COVID19 is no less or greater in out of conference matchup than it is in in conference matchup.

Do not cancel out of conference games from inside the PAC12. If other teams and conferences want to back out, that's thier own issue to deal with... Don't make it ours!!

To be honest, if the risk is too high to play an out of conference games, then it is likewise too high to play in conference games. Not that we want to see the season cancled, but there you have it.

There was talk weeks ago about the Pac looking into an 11 game conf schedule this year. Not just cancelling the OOC, but a rework to have every team play every other team. As much as I hate missing those B1G games, I admit it would be cool to see a true conf slate again even if just for one year.
I would be totally down with that, but not sure how they could pull that off cause what happens to playoff and bowl situations if the PAC plays 11 games, but other P5 confs decide to only play what was already scheduled for conf play and skip those first couple weeks of Sept.
I guess at this point, we should be grateful for any cfb this fall considering what the ivy league and some of the lower divs already decided. Lots more to figure out to have some games this fall.

To maximize TV revenue, I think the conferences will try to play 10-12 conference games. If they only end up playing 8 because of COVID, so be it.

This is why the B1G is considering starting their 10 game schedule with division games, in case things get rough and they have to cut the season short.

So if Michigan called UW and cancelled the game, that technically means they forfeited, right?

At this point, just play 10-11 conference games.

If things further deteriorate, it'll be easier to reshuffle conference games around.

I want a home and home with the Ducks + 1 more time at Seahawks stadium as a neutral site game.
2 out 3 wins rewards the newly created uncivil war trophy. The trophy will be created by one of those roadside wood carver with a chainsaw guys. The trophy will be something majestic like a bald eagle snatching a salmon out of a river, etc...

I guess if you want to add 2 additional losses to your season, by all means...

I'm not sure how to edit a post so I'll just add here.

The idea of playing 10 of the other 11 teams seems weird and nonsensical to me. If we're going to have an all conference slate then let's have an ALL conference slate.*

* the foregoing is in no way colored by the fact that Cal would get to pick up the two weakest teams in the Pac-12 (Colorado and AZ) and would accordingly be benefited more than anyone by going to an all conference slate. Nope. Not colored at all.
