Texas

USF. Not a very good team. Offensive problems. Texas should win big.

LSU. This one is away and the Horns will be the underdog. Game could be close for awhile, but I like LSU by 10.

UTEP. It's UTEP, so this one doesn't look close.

Nebraska will go 2-1 on hopes and prayers

9/12 Central Michigan The Chippewas went bowling last year. Nebraska will learn how good or bad they are on 9/5 vs Purdue. Hopefully, the kinks are worked out. Nebraska eeeeeeeeeeeeks out a win. Final 49-48.

9/19 South Dakota State. South Dakota State has already said they WILL NOT test their players for COVID. The SDSU will probably be well infected and breathe all over Nebraska to psyche them out. Most teams would be PISSED off about that, nebraska will whine to the officials in hopes something is done(nothing will be done). Nebraska wins ugly 27-24.

9/26 Cincinnati - The Bearcats are coached by Mr. Luke Fickell. I believe Luke Fickell brought Ohio State to Lincoln and lost. I could be wrong on that one. Cincinnati was a good team in 2019, beat Power 5 UCLA, beat Power 5 Boston College in their bowl game. Were blown out by Power 5 Ohio State. Nebraska is closer to being UCLA or Boston College, than even sniffing the jock straps of Ohio State. Cincinnati will have played Austin Peay(did they cancel their sports?), Western Michigan, and Mihammie of Ohio before their Nebraska game

Since the Nebraska team will be COVID tested and 80% of the starters will have COVID19 after playing South Dakota State, Cincinnati wins BIGGILY(new word). Cincinnati 38 Nebraska 17.

Nebraska will be 2-1 in their OOC. Not even a guarantee on that. I expect Nebraska to finish with a 2-10 record at the worst or a 6-6 record at the best.

Nebraska has a new defensive line, some new linebackers, but the dbacks are solid. Nebraska will have a new kicker and a new punter. The offensive line which stunk last year but actually got better is back intact. No idea if that is a good thing. the receivers will be iffy since JD Spielman has left the team. The running backs will be adequate and maybe better than adequate because of Dedrick Mills. But if the Oline plays like last year;s first six games, it won't matter. Tight ends were a non-factor last year, will I be surprised if this year they mean something? I don't think I will be surprised. That leaves the QB, who knows, Scott Frost is all in but could yank YoAdrian and put in Luke McCaffery if YoAdrian plays like he did last year.

Forgot to mention, Nebraska's new OC worked at a BANK last year, you know, a place that keeps people's money. Completely out of football. Yowza.

You really want ours? It ain't bad.
9/5 - Texas Tech - Red Faders in the Sun Bowl
9/12 - @ Nevada - Biggest Little City in the World
9/19 - @Texas - Whoop that rusty cow butt and then tear up Sixth Street
9/26 - New Mexico State - Battle of Interstate 10...even if it is a pillow fight!
...more like two armless and legless mimes trying to bite each other to death.

Let's be real though...after the last couple seasons, I think you'd take a 2-1 start.

We had a 2-1 start last year. This year? I think 2-1 is fair, I think 3-0 is possible. Cincinnati is going to be tough, they are an upper tier G5 team and we are't exactly a stellar P5 team.

But that sumbitch said a 2-10 season, maaaan

But Frost needs to get things turned around quick, can't handle another losing season.

Oh 3-0 is certainly possible...but I think 2-1 is a bit more likely.

I'd say 2-1 = 60%
3-0 = 39%
A different number = new head coach

4D would have been a guarantee to do it. But he seems to have disappeared.

Doubtful, he wasn't a dummy. Bamabino or whatever the hell his name is...that was your target audience.

vs Georgia ("neutral site" game in Atlanta) - We're going to get destroyed in this one. Not a good way to start the season at all. L

vs VMI - after the whooping we're going to get by the Bulldogs, I think we take our anger out on the Keydets. W

vs UConn - this is what I'm assuming will be our warm up game before we start 0-1 in Conference play by going to Clemson to get beat the following week. W

@ ODU - I think they threw everything they had at us in last years game in came up short. I feel like it'll be the same result again as we'll come away with the win. W

WKU - I can see them going either 3-1 or 2-2. The Indiana game is the one I'm not sure about but I'm going to go with a loss since it's on the road and for the fact that I believe that they've never gotten a win against a B1G school. The other loss they'll get is when they have to face Louisville.

That's a really quality schedule. Has a chance to be 4 bowl teams. Stinks you caught FSU in a down swing.

I’d feel a lot more confident if Slick Willy was coaching the game. This game seems like a toss up to me. I expect Norvell to turn things around. Time will tell how quickly he can get it done.

I really hope it even happens. Just seeing the Noles take to the Blue would be a kick ass moment for this fan. Big props to them for taking the one for one when they definitely didn’t need to. It wasn’t even supposed to be a one for one. The 2019 game got moved from Jacksonville to Doak Campbell because of a hurricane.

Virginia- they lost a lot, should be a win
East Tennessee State- easy win
UL Monroe- easy win
Georgia Tech- I think they will be a tough opponent in another year or two, but this year will be another struggle. Win

9/12 Southern Illinois scrimmage. Should see Mertz a lot in the 2nd half

9/19 App State No, we aren't gonna pull a Michigan

10/3 Notre Dame at Lambeau This game has Classic written all over it. Probably be a dud on way or another. Pick 'em right. Game I am looking forward to.

Nevada: This will probably be a close one to start off the Sam Pittman era. After losing to North Texas, Colorado State, Western Kentucky and San Jose State the last two years it wouldn't surprise me if we don't pull this one off but I just can't predict a loss here. I think we pull away late and win by 10.

@ Notre Dame: This may be close for a half if ND overlooks us, and we don't have much film of our new staff to work from, but ND's talent probably takes over in the 2nd half and they win by 21.

Charleston Southern: Should be an easy win.

UL-Monroe: First time we've played them since they upset us when we were like #8 during the John L. Smith year in 2012 I think. Should be another comfortable win, but they did take Florida State to overtime last year. If we're having another bad year wouldn't surprise me if Malik Hornsby gets plenty of reps at QB in this one.
