I think there should be a limit as well...that is sort of luck-of-the-draw to an extent

how about 2 of your the first 8 rounds. But it can not be your first 2 rounds. That solves everything in my opinion.

what exactly does this solve? that your best players can't play in the 2nd half? why not just do 2 halves and 12 selections in the first place if the whole 1st/2nd qtr and 2nd half is such a big deal??

6th man on each team is a pretty sweet strategy twist in my opinion...we've pretty much adopted your 1st half / 2nd half concept into our other draft board but we've added the 6th man and its worked out nicely
