This should be a great fight. Cerrone has been through and lost some tough fights recently but I still think he could be a major challenge for McGregor. Cerrone is well rounded. He has the reach and experience to pose problems for McGregor with the standup and like with Diaz going for a takedown against him would be a bad idea. Cerrone is dangerous with his kicks. McGregor picks his fights but he might get more than he bargained for against Cerrone.

I wouldn’t be shocked if Cerrone won. I have a feeling that he’s going to take it more seriously while Conor is probably just in it for the payday and doesn’t care about the result.

As GSP said, Cerrone's best chance is to shoot for an early takedown. That's what GSP would do.

McGregor knows that Cerrone's chin has become more vulnerable due to his previous knockouts.

If I was Cerrone I would dictate where the fight goes.Cerrone could submit him on the ground. McGregor gets to pick who he fights. He doesn't get to pick if the fight stays standing.

Weight will become more of a factor if/when the fight goes to the ground.

I'm a Cowboy fan but if he doesn't at least attempt to take Conor down it could be over before the 1st

I'd prefer for McGregor to just go away. Hoping he loses.

I am thinking that Cerrone will look for the right opportunity for the takedown.

McGregor is so accurate and has good power so he is dangerous on the feet, especially early in the fight. That said, Cerrone has a kickboxing background that could serve him well in this fight.

Cerrone's kicks wont be easy to deal with. He's dangerous also during the standup.

I see this fight as a great opportunity for Cerrone to define his legacy. Plus if he wins he could get a lucrative rematch.

McGregor has the power and the handspeed.
Cerrone has the groundgame and the kicks.
McGregor starts fast, Cerrone is more dangerous in the later rounds standing or not.
Cerrone has a chin that has been tagged a few more times.
That may be the deciding factor. Unless he can keep it out of reach.

I REALLY want to see this fight.
I have been a huge Cowboy fan.
But I will not buy...

Maybe my son and I will go to the Tilted Kilt and watch it.

One of my favorite things is when people end up paying $60 for a 40 second main event, ah I love real sports.
