I really want Chase Young but what if the Bengals draft him I mean Haskins wasn't drafted by Rivera could he pull an Arizona and draft Burrow and trade Haskins off

That would be a mistake right now. We don't know what we have in Haskins and if they are both franchise type guys or neither is, then we've wasted the pick by exchanging two of the same things, with the possibility of having traded away the better of the two.
BTW: if Burrow is on the board at #2, then the prudent thing to do is trade down.

Unless Burrows gets caught up in a r*pe case along with taking 10 million in under the table money I don't see how the Bengals pass on him but if they did whoever doesn't draft him there after is crazy

Cincy will draft him, of that there's little doubt. The question then becomes will he have the pro-level talent around him that's relative to the college level talent displayed this year? Right now, I don't see him as a transformative figure, capable of making others better than they are. There's so much talent on that LSU team, that it's difficult to say what he is or isn't in that regard.

I don't think the Bengals are as bad as their record says it is and they do have Andy Dalton still to start at QB until they feel Burrow is ready to take the wheel. The Bengals do have a run game and a WR that caught for over 1000 yards last season that is more than what the Dolphins have

If you could, wouldn't you?
You would have to seriously consider it. As one poster on here always says, you should always look to upgrade every position, even QB. If you have a good QB but have the opportunity to land a great one, you should pull the trigger.

After last night, Burrow to the Bengals is all but a lock.

Burrow still goes first, but I can see a scenario in which another team offers an unbelievable ransom to the Bengals in exchange for the first selection.

Robert Griffin was two years younger than Cousins. Does that tell a story that we should apply here?

This thread is hilarious. I brought up the fact that taking a QB in the first round should be on the table and was a conversation worth having.........months ago, and here we are. Burrow is going 1/1, Tua busting his hip, and the talk that Young is better than the Bosa's was enough to take QB off the board for me.

and yes, I would take and keep Burrow, and so would Kyle (who had a 2nd round grade on Haskins) and anyone else who watched college football this year.

Now that doesn't mean Burrow wont bust at the NFL level, but based on current information, you'd almost have to unless you already have an elite QB and in that case you won't be picking in the top half of the draft anyway.

This all could be true but my thing is you blew a 15th overall pick on Haskins and in no way would you recoup that investment . Then you go a throw another high draft pick on the position you supposedly solved . It’s called spinning your wheels . And of course we haven’t given the guy a real shot yet . My position is give Haskins his shot this year and if he fails the 2021 draft class at QB. Will be good too

You could also draft Fromm in round 3 or 4. And groom him
