Not surprised he got fired as it seemed like the players had tuned him out weeks ago and once that happens you're done.

I'd say McCarthy is probably the strong favorite for the job but I'm not sure if he'd be successful either. He just strikes me as a coach that's in that awkward spot of where the game hasn't passed him by but is in the process of passing him by and he's a step behind the top offensive minds in the league.

Could be wrong as maybe he'd do much better on a team where the QB doesn't hate him right off the bat and he has talent on defense and at skill positions.

It's just makes no sense to acquire talent as the browns did and they hire a completely inexperienced coach. Huge mistake by Dorsey.

Similar to what my Tigers did in 2014 although maybe not as egregious considering the Tigers were one of the five best teams in baseball and they handed the job to a rookie

What most people are forgetting is that the owner is still Jimmy Haslam....and the longest tenured dude under his ownership was Hue fucking Jackson.

Sure Freddie the Cable Guy was a shit choice by Dorsey, but I'd say look to the top to see where a lot of this nonsense begins and ends.
Why would you say that? He did what fans wanted.....found a credible GM and let him do his job. Did you credit ownership when Dorsey allegedly was doing a fine job, or only blame him when the GM screws up?

Personally, I thought they should have hired him last year. He seemed to have the players attention.

Now? If I were Williams I would say NO THANK YOU
Of course, since he claimed he had a handful of offers to be a HC. He's delusional.

As of now I would say McCarthy is the most solid choice, assuming he's interested. They have talent on that roster so that's no longer a valid excuse. But I think they need an experienced HC
I really don't think there is any way to go you know will work. I've seen successful HC retreads, failed HC retreads, hot assistants, college coaches, etc. all have success and fail.

Open to McCarthy, sure, but GB doesn't seem to miss him.
