I wouldn’t come out in a 3 wide set with a tight end to the same side and a rb on the opposite side. There is literally only one place where you are going with the ball. I wouldn’t run jet motion and pitch the ball to that same side when the backers are reading backfield. Just stupid.

Backers were flowing away from the Jet motion, and as always, key off the Guard movement.

The DE, S, and CBs made the play. The DE not crashing like he had all night was the key.

But hey, tell me more about the backers in on that play.

They ran a play from this same formation with a Tight End screen going in the other direction just last game against Minnesota. So no, there's not "literally one place" they are going with the ball.

Always have been very into NFL, NBA, and MLB. Was a big Notre Dame fan from the Lou Holtz years up into the Charlie Weis years, but then my interest level dropped after that. Also was somewhat of a Cal Bears fan because they're a local team.

Just starting to get more interested in it again now because of the CFP. I think the whole ridiculousness of the BCS and the lobbying by coaches and conferences kinda turned me off. Now with the CFP, we have a lot more legitimacy to how the champion is determined.

It's kinda different out here in CA with regard to college sports fandom. There isn't an equivalent of an Ohio State or Alabama where there is a clear team that almost everyone will root for and treat like a religion. Lots of schools in CA so there isn't going to be that one great CA college football team that everyone roots for and there are plenty of pro sports to watch.

To be honest, the back can't slow up on that play...get to the edge and try to run over the corner is your only shot, he slowed up and brought Young back into the play...the result was determined the instant he slowed up...his choice was to try to run over the corner or get tackled by Young, he made the wrong choice
