OREGON STATE-9
OREGON 111
Why?
If the Conferences are ok with such a thing, who are we to say no.
And the Committee has 2 spots to correct that.
How many times in 1 year do you think such a thing could happen???
Because you are basically throwing away some 1 loss teams good season because some 5 loss team from a weak division played a good night of football. It literally makes zero sense.
Leave the committee. Top 8. I fail to see how being a P5 conference champion should automatically qualify you. Had Northwestern pulled off an upset in last year's Big 10 game, you'd have a five loss team in the playoff.
Everyone keeps throwing these 4-5 loss scenarios out there.
Show me a couple.

2012 Wisconsin with 5 losses stomped Nebraska
2012 Georgia Tech was 6-6 and lost 21-16 to FSU after a late INT
2012 UCLA had 6 losses and lost 27-24 in championship game
So yes, those last two werent finished, but the opportunities were right there, and a play away from happening.
The CCG creates a bye week for those that didn't make the game. If a 5 loss team won the CCG, at least they won something instead of sitting home.
So, who were the conference winners in those scenarios???
Who cares? You make it sound like a fucking travesty if they would would have pulled an upset.Leave the committee. Top 8. The only thing not accounted for is if an independent(such as Notre Dame or BYU) is considered for a 7th or 8th spot, they don't play a 13th game.
Can someone remind me of the last P5 Champion with 4 or 5 losses???
You really are a moron, you know?
Oregon's Conference Rankings for Defensive Categories:
Total Defense: 2nd (UTAH #1)
Scoring Defense: 2nd (UTAH #1)
Turnovers Gained: 1st
Passing Yards Allowed: 2nd (UTAH #1)
Rushing Yards Allowed: 2nd (UTAH #1)
In every sport the winners of conferences and/or divisions move to the playoffs. For a P5 Champion not to move on, makes zero sense.
Isn’t that what all the major sports leagues do in America?Every sport doesn’t have a committee choosing who goes. Almost every sport doesn’t have polls used in them. This isn’t every sport. It makes zero sense to send a 5 loss team to a playoff over 1 and 2 loss teams. That’s exactly what his system does.
Can someone remind me of the last P5 Champion with 4 or 5 losses???
