It's in the name, besides if not for controversy would anyone really miss this team in its anonymity?

What happens next?

Well, how about being the ONLY team in NFL history going into the "Bye" week with a 1-8 record and coming out of it with a 1-9 record? :pound:

At 1-8, does Guice and his injury woes need to hit the field this year? Seems pointless to me unless you are asking for another injury. :noidea:

No he does not. Its the move of a team that's still in the playoff hunt and hoping Guice is the player they thought him to be when he was drafted. The Redskins are not that team.

Hopefully this doesn't turn into another 2004/2005 LaVar situation. When he got hurt in week 1 against Chi. And the Skins with a 4-9 record brought him back in week 15 against Frisco. Where he was promptly re-injured and set the stage for the drama of 2005.

Unless Guice is chomping at the bit to play, which he could be (you never know), then there’s no reason to rush him back to the field.

Nobody here thinks Guice isnt being rushed back to play though, which is a problem for the team - nobody trusts them anymore.

I'm not saying Quinn has lit it up and I like JC, but what explosiveness is dude talking about exactly? Sure JC was quick and fleet of foot and all that, but.....JC had a 70+ yards catch and run against someone last year, but the Skins were simply playing out the year then.

The only truly explosive play I can recall for JC was his 85 yd punt ret against Baltimore in 2016. And I think that was as much about breaking a few tackles as it was being explosive. Since 2017 up to the present. He's returned 29 punts for 191 yards for 6.5 yards per ret. JC has 15 rec TDs in his career and 7 of those came his 2nd year in the league. For his career he's averaged 11.5 yards per catch. Nothing is hollering explosiveness. Least not to me.

I'm not necessarily disagreeing about it being a mistake in letting JC go. Quinn from what I can see seems somewhat injury prone and JC was dependable for the most part playing in 56 of 64 games for the Skins. He was tough and wasn't afraid to catch passes over the middle in front of LBs and safeties, but explosive.......hmmm.

And lets be honest. Judging a WR over the last 25 regular season games the Skins have played is unfair to said WR to a great extent. The Skins QBing has been quite shitty during this span.
