Oh I know. Yeah this game is beyond pisses you off as a Steeler fan knowing if they had competent coaching they could be 3-2 right now even without Ben.

This is why alcohol was invented. Too bad I can't drink, so if y'all can drink one for me, that'd be great.

That press conference alone should have Tomlin fired.

His job certainly needs to be seriously evaluated at the end of this season. We aren't losing these games because we are without Ben. We had Ben and we couldn't score a fucking TD Week 1.

Hodges had a clear shot to recover that, kind of ran by it.....
He went to block out the guy who already ran himself out of bounds.

He made a mistake.

He's also an undrafted rookie. That's forgivable.

Our decade + coaches made a constant stream of mistakes. That's not

Yes it should. And they can't fire him now because that means we would have interim Head coach John Mitchell, Randy Sphincter or Keith Butler.

Steelers should be 4-1 right now. That would be IF this team had a real head coach and staff which is not the case. Pathetic!

Yeah that was by no means Hodges fault but that got me thinking how much we appreciated Heath Miller.
It seemed like anytime this time of play happened he was there for the recovery, always in the right place at the right time which at that time always helped bail the coaches out.

Week 5 Review

I was happy with the way Hodges handled himself. Prayers go out to Rudolph. Watching the hit several times, Thomas has to be getting a big fine. He said he didn’t go high…then how the hell does a QB standing over 6’4” tall get hit in the chin without going high?

Tomlin/Butler…B

They gave up 138 yds rushing, but against this team, imo that’s a pretty good. Couple that with 3 more turnovers and 5 sacks. The DEF did a pretty good job overall again.

Fichtner…C

As much as a I liked the Wildcat last week, I didn’t think it would work this week after giving them a week to get ready for it.…nice to see the pass wrinkle if they were going to do it, but it’s either wide open or you throw it away, you cannot throw a pick. The general theme has been the veteran guys they count on have been making the critical mistakes…a couple of weeks ago, Connor had a big fumble and yesterday it was Juju. Hold on to that ball, and maybe Boz gets to try a game winning FG.

ST…C-

Both kickers did their jobs well, but the coverage team did not.

Summary…I think Tomlin played for a FG to go up 23-20. To be down to the QB3, and had a chance to win imo was a good effort. Hodges looked at least as comfortable at Rudolph did going down field with the ball. But the reality is another loss and now I think we can officially forget about postseason if you hadn’t already…getting this kind of effort every week on DEF will be the challenge from this point forth and whatever the win total is…it is.

This division is shit. Cleveland is probably the best team in the division slightly edging the Steelers (although it doesn't matter with the hole they dug themselves). Lamar Jackson is a joke and so are the Ravens we almost beat them with our third-string QB for Christ-sake. Jackson is what we thought he was, a floater.

I was actually impressed with Rudolph before he was hurt. I thought they were starting to take the shackles off little by little and he was responding well. Maybe I was just drunk again. I mean I was. So there's that. Now I have the shits today. Thank god my office is close to the terlet. I'm not above cutting my underwear off and throwing them away in an emergency though.

The DIV is trash this yr. The DIV winner is all that should make the dance and that's probably a one and done.

Rudolph...I agree, he was taking his shots deep, going thru progressions. Looked just starting to get comfortable before he was KO'd....out for sure this week I would imagine.

I just hope the DEF keeps bringing it...if so, they will bag a few wins.

If they can't do any better than Dupree at ROLB, they should really consider moving to 4-3 next year...extend Hargrave, and make Watt, Tuitt, Hargrave and Heyward the starting DL.

Yeah I would imagine Rudolph is at least out this week. Man that was some scary shit. I thought he was fucking dead. You always see in the movies how someone gets knocked out and their out cold for like 20 minutes. In real life that's pretty fucking rare. You're usually out like 10-20 seconds. He was out way too long. Scary shit. And honestly the hit was high and dirty but it didn't look "hard".

I keep waiting for this defense to take over and become dominant. They've got the pedigree. it's much improved, regardless.

Just read an article on the Disney network about the firing of Jay Gruden. It says their owner has a few replacements in mind. Mike Tomlin was the first person they named. Please be true!

DEF...they're getting closer to being that kind of DEF again....the back end communication issues have been few and far between since Davis surrendered the FA job to Minkah.

Rudolph, he caught him right on the chin...in boxing you can take a guy out with a clean blow to the chin. Imagine a helmet delivering the blow....that was scary.

Next level is having emergency pants and underwear in your office.

I've got them here.
