It's as if you didn't read your own link. They didn't decide not to to investigate due to the lack of supporting evidence, they were never contacted about the alleged event so therefore there was no reason to start an investigation. From your link:

I already explained it in my first post, even supplied the text from your link. Read your story again, all the way through this time. The article contained the paragraph I quoted.They didn't investigate because the woman did not go to them so there was nothing to investigate. That''s not the same as what you are implying which is they looked into it and found the claim had no merit.

It isnt a criminal case, but a civil one. they wont go investigate for just a civil lawsuit. if she went to the police & said she got raped. They would have to investigate regardless. Now they might say not enough to charge him, but no matter what they would investigate.

Interesting...learned something new today, didn't realize the DA could go after a case not presented to them, but I can understand why they wouldn't...you swing and miss against a prominent defendant with high priced attorneys, you look bad and probably won't keep the job too long.
