I have been ripped for this before but I stand by it. The Bears traded the #3 pick, a high second round and a high 3rd round to move up 1 place because they were afraid some one else was going to jump them for Trubisky.
Well, the worse case would have been that happened and they would have to have settled for Patrick Mahomes and keeping their other picks. If no one jumped them, they would still have Trubisky and the other picks.
Unless Trubisky plays at least as well as Mahomes (unlikely), that will always be a bad trade.
