I was wondering where this thread was.

Interesting that the line is Bears -3. Considering you get 3 for home field, Vegas thinks this is an even matchup. The Bears are the far more talented team overall but they don't have Aaron Rodgers, so that about explains it.

Vegas must be subscribers to Pete Prisco's newsletter where he fawns over everything the Packers and especially Rodgers does.

I'll predict Bears 27, Packers 20. Pineiro has a missed XP and a missed field goal.

True but it's quite amazing how often the line is almost spot on especially when they set it with a (.5).

Wait, what? He made the Packers #1 in his nfl power rankings tonight. The proof is in the pudding...

That's the same score I gave the Lions over the Cardinals. But, something tells me the Lions are going to play this like one of their preseason games if the Packers lose.

Which areas do you feel are more talented? The Packers Oline is top 5, the Packers run game was #1 last year in yards per carry at 5.0 yards per carry and the Packers had the #1 running back last year at yards per carry with running backs that had at least 100 carries with Aaron Jones at 5.5 yards per carry. They just need to run more often with that success. The QB is better and you will see that the Packer receivers are better as well. The TE with Graham and Lewis are better. The Kicker and punter are better. The defense I have not seen much of yet but the back end should be strong having Amos and all the other additions in the second year of Pettines system. The amount of turn overs in preseason was amazing they have turned into ball hawks. It will be interesting to see how things turn out but to say the Bears are far more talented is BS

The whole defense, for one, every level. If you're going to mention kicker and punter, then i'll mention kick and punt returners, of which the Bears probably have the best in the game right now with Patterson and Cohen.

QB is obvious. Aaron Jones is good but I would take the Bears' stable of backs over the Packers' thanks to Cohen and the mismatches he presents while Montgomery is gonna be damn good. Davante Adams is the best receiver of the group, but beyond that, it's something of a crap shoot with the Bears having plenty of talent there. I wouldn't say Graham at this stage of his career is better than Burton if Burton ever plays football again. As far as offensive line goes, PFF has the Packers at 7 and the Bears at 9, so not much of a difference there. Who knows how LaFleur will do from a coaching/playcalling standpoint while we know Nagy excels.

From a talent standpoint, outside of QB, the Packers may have a slight edge in talent offensively while the Bears have a big edge defensively. Packers have a more proven kicking game while the Bears have a better return game. The Bears have a more proven head coach. Obviously Rodgers is a great equalizer but i expect Trubisky to take a nice step forward to at least make that gap not as lop sided as it was last year.
