I am curious on what he learned about his injury? Is it something that was gonna be a long rehab stint & he said screw that. Dont want to go through that shit again.
Or is it as simple as just saying I am good Im out!

The only way to get rid of that chunk of calcified muscle is to cut it out leaving a void. I wish I didn't even know what this fuggin deal was because it shortened the career of one of the best power forwards in the NHL that just happened to play for my favorite team.

Guarante that guy has never suffered anything more serious than stubbing his toe reaching for another bud light.
Aside from getting kicked out of Notre Dame for stealing credit cards.

Re-the timing.

I have to wonder if he found out this was an injury that would keep him out for a while, in which case it probably wouldn't have made a difference.

It's not a minor ankle injury. Recent reports stated that his injury was a devastating bruise (in his lower leg) that ultimately started calcifying and turning muscle into bone. Cam Neely of the Boston Bruins suffered the same fate when his thigh muscle started calcifying following a cheap hit by some POS Penguins player.

Dafuck??? Muscle turning into bone??!

To a point, yes. When the calcification reaches the size of a brick, like it did it in Neely's case, it needs to be cut out. I think (if these reports are true) that Luck has had enough of rehab and isn't interested in trying to rebuild a calf muscle that isn't there any more.

Indy should trade for CJ Beathard. 3rd round pick for a QB with starting experience
