So wrong. Jerry loves hearing himself talk and Jerry loves publicity and headlines. But there is nothing Jerry wants more than to win. He knows after all these years that he still hasn't done it without Jimmy's team. What Jerry wants more than anything is to be known as a "Football guy" and he can't be until he wins or at least has more success. Now the sad joke for Jerry is that he won't be even if he does win, but he doesn't get that...

I actually think it was good move by Jerry... When you live with a fickle media, you plant this seed and they run with it. All the Zeke talk today was about how he is easily replaced. Maybe it affects what the real market is, but it certainly didn't hurt.

I think you need to think about that one for a second.

Let's be clear what we are talking about here. Do you know any boss in the "real world" that would be supportive of an employee who stopped coming to work simply because they wanted more money? How do you think that would really play out for 99% of employees? How do you think that would play out at one of your old Schools if one teacher stopped coming to School because they wanted more money but every other teacher came to work every day?

In that case the contract is honored to the amount the player is owed unless the player has broken some law/team rule.

Not non guaranteed contracts. Its business. The owners and players both look at it that way, unfortunately it sucks for us fans. I just think if a player "signs a contract" and the owner breaks the deal the players have the same right. It sucks for us though.

I do. Im sure they were disappointed but I always see them congratulating each other across sport lines when they get paid. I think every players know that you should get as much as you can, while you can. Obviously there isnt going to be 100% agreement on every single team. But Im pretty darn sure the players have each others backs when it comes to getting paid.

I totally get Zeke 100%. Im sure he feels like he is the best back in the league and wants his 50 million guaranteed really soon. He saw how they chewed up Demarco and spit him out.
