Poor Elliot found this comment to be disrespectful. I'll tell you what's disrespectful; disrespectful is not honoring your contract.

Why should jerry keep his mouth shut? He owns the team and has the right
Maybe cause it causes problems with players who find it disrespectful???
Its not the same. The NFL contract stipulates that a player can be cut and he knows this before he signs it. There is nothing in Elliott's or any other players contract with language indicating that he can hold out and does not have to honor the contract he signed. That’s fine you feel that way... just as long as you say the same thing when owners let players go out of their contract.
Fuck the player. he's an employee, nothing more. he does what he's told and what he has contractually agreed to.Maybe cause it causes problems with players who find it disrespectful???
It's disrespectful to not not honor a contract you signed too.

Zeke and every player is indeed welcome to quit any time they want. He will need to pay back a portion of his signing bonus, but he can retire tomorrow and never play again and no one can force him to do any differently. But, he has a legally binding contract that says he pays or he doesn't get paid.I don't believe players fully guarantee their contracts. Owners can cut a player any time they want so players should be able to quit any time they want too. They only have to play 6 games to accrue a season.
No I am not a fan of holdouts but I understand the players point of view as well.
