Not surprised, former Indian player and they're playing in Cleveland .

A little bit of home cooking. Minors replacment gets the truck.
Some would say Rangers had a hand in all of this including derby.
Looks like a team decision

Should at least get a truck

My big concern is will the front office get adequate compensation for what I deem to be very good players?

See.... here’s my thing with prospects. With Mike minor and Choo, in a theoretical trade, we know we would be giving a team an ace pitcher and a top of the line leadoff hitter.

Shouldn’t that net 2 or 3 top 100 prospects? I think so.

I know choos contract is bad, but minors is a good deal.

Front office needs to approach it like “blow us away, or we’re not trading them”
To further clarify what I mentioned previously, here are the top 13 prospects as ranked by the readers at LSB.

1 — Hans Crouse

2 — Leody Taveras

3 — Joe Palumbo

4 — Josh Jung

5 — Sam Huff

6 — Cole Winn

7 — Brock Burke

8 — Bubba Thompson

9 — Sherten Apostel

10 — Taylor Hearn

11 — Yerry Rodriguez

12 — J.P. Martinez

13 — Ronny Henriquez

All but about 3 of these guys will be left out of the Top 100 overall. If Choo could net us a player comparable to a player in the bottom three-fourths of this list I would be very happy.

On the other hand, for Minor I would hope the headliner would be better than anyone on the list.

The State of the Texas Rangers 40 Man Roster

The State of the Texas Rangers 40 Man Roster

We're going to need some more starting pitching so why not trade some of these players now to get the one body we want?? You can't keep all of them so why not start making the final 40 man roster decisions that much easier...

A lot of near the end of the line guys and should contribute but not many no brainers. Yeah some need to be moved. Going to be tough

If we become sellers at the break it will help some. Otherwise, these things usually work out to be a lot easier to solve when it comes time to do so.

Jung went 3 for 4.

I am not sure why he is in Arizona instead of Spokane.

I can’t be the only one who thought Banny was awful.
The telling thing to me is how no one in the media reported Banny as being a bad manager until he was canned. Why don't they do some real reporting and report stuff like that while he is still here? The difference in how the local media reports on the Rangers and how they report on the Cowboys is substantial.

I thought Banny sucked halfway thru his first year. He couldn’t manage a bullpen or a bench to save his life.

I still remember when he’d run what I called “White flag” lineups on get away games especially on Sunday where he would give all of our good players the day off. We’d run a crap lineup out there and almost always lose.

Rarely if ever did I see managers do that against us or sit there best players in games with us. Even if I’m wrong about the above, Banny still did it way too often.

Because as I tried to state before they are wanting to keep their jobs and their access to the team other then Nadel. They want to be on the "ins".

As in any job players need to overcome bad workplace environment but:
1. Players need to be given the tools to perform. Our way of doing business was revamped top to bottom with analytics. From FO to coaching at all levels including Driveline. One could say too little too late with a guy like Marteen. Maybe a combo with environment and lack of tools. But now a success is apparent with a guy like Gallo. Hopefully we get a buyin from Odor but does he have a good for pitch recognition?

You can't teach instincts and reads. Same goes for DDJ reading ball flight path with his routes. Practice helps but..some have it some don't
