It does fit in with Steph's reputation that his gravity makes things easier for his teammates.

Check out this GOAT list. Seems to be well-researched. LeBron at 3. The only other active players are Chris Paul, Steph, and KD. Kareem at 1 and MJ at 2. What would LeBron need to do to rise above MJ and Kareem in your mind?

By one pretty telling stat he is

Over the past five season's, not a small sample size, Steph's team is +4131 when he is on the floor. When he isn't they are -447

This is the greatest 5 year number for any player in NBA history including St. Michael and LeBron and Magic and Russell and Kareem and ....

That is an insane stat.

I will laugh if Klay goes nuts and gets Finals MVP this year. I think that would be pretty funny. Or Draymond.

If he won with a 3rd tesm and that team being completely dysfunctional like the Lakers...that’s a start.

I dont care how great he is...if he has 4 titles and zero NBA Finals MVP’s he will never crack top 10. Some might disagree but there are too many great players for him to crack the top 10 and that many titles without being the best player

Don't worry. Lakers will trade for CP3 and AD, and they'll dominate.

Media voted awards should have little to no weight. We don't need them to tell us who is great.

And with the Warriors playing so well without KD, doesn't it show that Curry has really been the best player all along?

He's the greatest ever in NBA history at looking like, and having the name of a woman.

LeBron will never seriously be in the GOAT conversation, other than by his own fans.

The most physically gifted player of all time — I can agree with that.

Greatest of all time? He has handpicked his teammates for the better part of a decade and has a losing record in the NBA finals. His greatest accomplishment is that he made the NBA finals all those years in a row, but even that is tarnished because the Eastern conference was so bad.

What would really suck for LeBron — him going to LA and then the Clippers being the team who signs the big FA. I’ve heard Kawhi has them as one of his top choices. If Kawhi can get someone like Durant or Klay Thompson to go along with him, LeBron will play out the rest of his career as the 2nd best team in his own city.

i guess its possible Curry is generally though of as top 10 of all time but I would bet against it. The stregnth of his teammates, and the fact that he has had a relatively short time as a truly great player when compared to the other greats all weigh against him.

Curry has been a top 10 guy for what? 5 years?

To be like Kobe, or even LeBron, hes have to go and do it for another 7-8 years, AT LEAST, and unlike those 2, who Kobe can likely claim he was the best player in the league at least 3-4 times, and LeBron as the best player for shit, what? at least 10 times, I dont think anyone ever thought of Curry as the best player in the game except for one arguable season.

Its tough to really know where to rank Curry, imo.

He's arguably the greatest shooter the league has ever seen, so it would seem like he definitely belongs somewhere in a GOAT conversation.

His unselfishness and willingness to let his teammates shine is why things work like they do with the Warriors.

On the other hand, as @Shanemansj13 said, he could end up with 4 rings, but zero finals MVP's. That's where his unselfishness can actually work against him in GOAT convo's. Because as well as he has played in the playoffs if, for example, Klay goes off for 3 or 4 games, Steph will sit back and let him go which could cost him the finals MVP.
