If 18 games are decided they'll have to expand the rosters...so the players union won't throw a hissy fit ...because as we all know the players have trouble dealing with 16 games...get rid of pre season...just do inter team scrimmages add the 2 games and increase the roster

I don't like it. Sometimes less is more. Besides the injuries, there is the constant stats that they will jack off to. Luck throws for an NFL record 5700 yards. Zeke runs for an NFL record 2200 yards. Jones catches an NFL record 2000 yards receiving.

Players will ask for pot to be removed from the banned list.

They will agree and the contract will be ratified.

The end.

As Eugene Monroe says, the players should be able to get the herb thing without anything given up. There's a huge number of players fucked up by opiods. Past and current.

To have to give something up in exchange seems wrong when people everywhere can basically make their own decisions about their health. And I think only the Carolina Panthers are in a state that doesn't recognize medical marijuana.

So the players are playing a violent sport for money & know the risks. And so do the players?

Haven't been a fan of preseason for a long time now. Too bad there wasn't a way for only rookies & players on the bubble to play in those games. But all those 1st teamers need some live game action before the season starts.
For a long time, preseason was sold to fans as a lesser, but still quality product. If we recognize that it's just a glorified scrimmage, it rapidly becomes a showcase for rookies and players on the bubble, just as you say.

Teams can't stay healthy for a 16 game schedule. This is a bad idea.
But they care about player security.

That's why they want more games and games in warped time zones

Doesn’t matter when it comes to a CBA. It’s all about give and take. Or in this case, give and toke.

From a fans perspective this is great, more football and more fantasy football. Not sure this would happen though.

Handicappers must be slipping, so let me be the first to say it

14 games would be an improvement on the current length of the season.
If I were you I'd be voting for them to cut it to about 8 weeks...

3 bye weeks??? Way too much IMO. Why not keep it at 1?

Preseason would be cut in half if they went to this, players will want something for it

More $$ & 2 less preseason games as a starting pt. If this were to occur no doubt owners would demand more $$ from fans so a big part of that would have to be shared with players.

If you go to 18 reg games you'll need at least 2 to appease the players . 3 is perfect I'm my opinion as you keep a healthier product on the field

Yeah it would suck for the fans but they'd adapt and the players would like it . Wouldn't be so bad because you could have whole divisions off at the same time that way and not give competitive advantages to teams coming off byes if you just scheduled intra divisional games off each bye week

They should get rid of most Thursday night games when they do the next CBA.
