Hill, Hunt? Who cares. It's a quarterback league.

For the Chiefs it comes down to can Patrick Mahomes immense talent overcome Andy Reid's immense buffoonery.

Cooper Kupp
:rolleyes2:Yet they decided to pay Cooks $81M.
Kupp makes about the same as Josh Reynolds just over $3M.

Look I love Kupp. Wish NE grabbed him. But you need to jump off at the next stop, the delusion train is packed with Ram, Eagle and some Cleveland media.

Yeah, but at some point it's just the reality.

NE did not have anywhere near the significant injuries the Falcons had LY....3 key DEF starters, plus 3 to 4 key OFC starters. They still could've won a few more games than they did (some bad coaching imo), but Matt Ryan got slapped around an awful lot.

I'm willing to give Brady his due as the GOAT, he's earned that, but if he was getting sacked and moreso decked as much as Ryan did LY, NE would not have won the SB.

True, but Brady not getting sacked is often his talent for moving in the pocket and quick decision making and release.

His kryptonite is pressure up the middle. No mystery there. But even this, I think he has improved on.

I'm not saying the loss didn't hurt, but the Rams put up 3 points. To suggest Kupp was the difference between winning and losing the SB is crazy.

They were out played and out coached in every facet of the game.

Nowhere did I say we would of won if we had him, just said I would like to play the Patriots with Kupp. He might not made the difference in last years, but he might be the difference in the next one

It certainly wouldn't hurt them. I actually like Kupp.

Kupp isn't going anywhere, we have a lot of money under the cap. 54 million next season

I noticed that too. Against KC in the playoffs I saw at least a couple of plays where Dee Ford flat out beat the lineman but Brady was able to get rid of the ball before Ford could get him. He would have sacked other QBs

I saw a team that looked like they have been there many times before and another team that had a deer in the headlights look.

Kupp is a great receiver. But unless he was stretch Armstrong he wasn't helping the Rams. Goff was confused all game by BBs defense. He hit on 50% of his passes. During the first three quarters he was missing guys by yards, not inches.
His best numbers came when NE went prevent.

That applies to the vast majority of pocket passers. Ryan lost both starting OGs so up the middle was terrible. The Patriots may not spend to get the best OL they can afford but rest assured, as a unit, they can play. Brady is not avoiding that many sacks/QB hits with a quick release.

OK:noidea:

Not sure what that has to do with what we were discussing?

Is he going to make more than Cooks or Woods? LA already screwed up giving Cooks that crazy contract.

FYI a LOT of teams have a LOT of $ come next season. Those same teams don't have these contracts coming up as well. Just to name a few.
2020
Brockers, Whitworth, Talib, Littleton...
2021 Goff likely signs next year before FA.

Did the Rams hire Howie Roseman?

Credit quick release, ID-ing the D pre snap, movement within the pocket. Oh yeah and a little guy we like to call Scar:suds:

Whitworth is retiring most likely, Talib will be 34, so he won't command a whole lot or he retires. Littleton and Brockers won't command a lot, being non pro bowlers

You just have to reload in the draft, that is what separates the elite franchises from standard franchises. We're moving into a palace next year with one of the richest owners. He has no reason not to put effort into keeping a good product on the field. Not to mention, being southern California it helps attracts talent.

I'm not sure about BAL going backwards, but I can see that happening, but CIN, CLE, PIT should all be better than they were LY.

ATL...the Falcons could make a big swing to the positive. I'm thinking 10 wins and playoffs. Else, there will be upheaval at the GM and HC spots.

Baltimore won 10 games and the division. It's hard seeing them win 10 again. Still a stout defense, one of the best OL's. If Lamar can throw and continue to have success they could be a nice team but I would be surprised seeing a duplicate of 10 wins imo

You're right...For some reason I thought they won it with 9 wins.

They probably will back track a little...I never know how to project the Ravens...everytime I think it's a sweep year...they do something like LY.

I'm with you on Jackson...that style of play won't get 10 wins this yr and we don't know if he can be as effective playing more conventional.
