Notes:

Last place Raiders get 1st place schedule - because they don't get to play themselves
1st place Patriots get 2nd easiest schedule because they don't get to plat themselves and they get to play Miami twice
1st place Rams get 2nd easiest schedule because they get to play AZ twice

We all (ok most of us know) I forgot we do have fans from Philly on here, how the NFL scheduling works. So I love when people snivel about how NE gets a soft schedule. We've laid out the out of div and conference #s w/l enough times but people will choose to believe what they want.

What's funny is SOS postings pre draft. They are basing everything off of last years results. When we all know the majority of teams week 1 will look nothing like they did to end their seasons last year.

For some that's good (see teams like Oak, NYJ, AZ and Philly) for others it may not be good.

Patriots lost to the Titans, Jags, Lions and Dolphins last year and beat the Rams, Chiefs, Chargers, Bears, Texans and Colts.

Not even going to care about their schedule at all but IIRC I think they only have one 'tough' road game all season.

For the Rams yes maybe a little, but playing the Jets, Bill's and Miami Minnows for 6 games isnt exactly tough.

FWIW I'm not complaining about the schedule because I know it's already set.

Six games against divisional opponents. Four games, two on the road, two at home against a division within its own conference. This rotates and is set. You cannot change the division. You face every team once in a 3 year period from your own conference. Four games, 2 on the road, 2 at home from a division from the other conference. This is also set and can not change. It rotates clockwise regardless of team. Two games against the remaining two divisions in your conference, one home, one away. These two are based on the teams having the same divisional ranking from the previous season. NFL scheduling is the most unbiased, fair, and transparent system in the world. Learn about it and you can determine 14 of the 16 games in the year 2060 if you want. The 2 others can only be determined by rankings the previous year.
