At best, he's that! There are ONLY two QB's in this draft that are first round worthy, If we can't get either of them then the best move is, filling other needs and prepare to get our guy next year.

Lock is a first rounder.

Reports are that the Patriots want to meet him. That would give him some time behind Brady and a chance to learn under Brady and Belichek. What round? Doesn't say, I would say the fact that NE is interested is worth noting.

Lock is a first rounder.

He might get selected in the first round but that will be 100% based on desperation. He's a project at best and needs a whole lot of work before starting an NFL game. Good conversation though, but do me a favor...Ask yourself, since it's unfair to compare him to past drafts, where would YOU rank him if he was in next years draft based on what you know about him and that projected class?

he doesnt like lock , but locks film in games is good

Nothing against the guy personally but I knew that we were going to need a QB and targeted that group for my most intense research. Now if the intent is in making him a starter, maybe the Rogers treatment is best for him long term. To be clear, he has potential, just NOT first or top half of the second round potential. No real objections if he's taken in the very late 2nd - very early 3rd round range. Projecting him into the 1st or top 2/3 of the second is a reach that will likely destroy his chance to succeed because of the demands placed on being drafted that high.

He is now being talked about as a top 10 pick overall. The guy has good physical tools and can be a franchise QB. If Lamar Jackson was a first rounder than how can you debate Lock?

Very easily, Lamar Jackson wasn't a 1st round pick because he deserved it, he got there because there was and remains a sense of desperation for QB's. Lock is the same whether he's drafted top 10 or #32 in the first round.

I could be wrong about this from your perspective (I'm actually not) but there have been lots of guys drafted in the first round over the years who have proved they weren't first round worthy.

Once again, let me ask... where would YOU rank him if he was in next years draft based on what you know about him and that projected class?

Fair enough... so let's try these questions.

1. What are you seeing in this guy that convinces you that he could be the long term answer?

2. If they get him at 15, there's a good chance that he starts right away, do you agree with that? Why or why not?

3. Is it your position that if a player is drafted in the first round then they are automatically first round worthy?

4. Finally, do you believe that lock, right now is better suited and better prepared than Colt and Case?

I appreciate your feedback.

This question wasn’t for me but I will give you some answers

1). Arm strength , mechanics and his film . He can make all the throws

2) No he shouldn’t start right away, he
Should be option 3 . It’s best to sit him and let him learn from 2 vets

3) No , a lot turn out not to be , so studying film and taking a look at interviews is a key

4) No I think the 2 vets are better to win now
