He is going nowhere.

why is that doesn't look like he is resigning with the Giants and already cleaned his locker out and said goodbye to teammates

However, it’s now looking less likely that Collins signs a long-term deal with the Giants. According to ESPN’s Josina Anderson, Collins cleaned out his locker and said goodbye to his teammates on Wednesday. That makes it seem like he will be leaving the team this offseason.

Do they expect to franchise anybody else?

hope we can sign him

Collins woiuld be an upgrade over every safety we have, but we really need a free safety with legit cover skills. More Ken Houston, Ed Reed, Troy P, than Steve Atwater, Adrian Wilson, Alvin Walton. If the price is right though, but as Eric Berry signed a 6 year/78 mill/40 mill gtd contract and Kam Chancellor inked a 3 year/36 mill/25 mill gtd deal. And Collins in 5 years younger than both of them so..............Maybe get rid of Reed, Norman, Brown, Foster, Nicholson. An OL or 2, Tell JC to kick rocks. Fuck, Doctson's been a disappointment. Fuck going after an aging veteran QB who's no better than the stopgap/2nd tier QB we signed last year. Sign AP and have him, Guice n maybe another RB carry the rock 35 - 40 times a game.

If the Skins get beat the fuck up again thise year...like they have the last two years. Its not an injuury issue like some have tried to use as an excuse. Its a physicality issue with the Skins cpoming out on the swhort end of thge stick. Collions would help in that regard. As would getting rid of many of the aforementioned players who either can't be or simply aren't physical enough.

Yeah... just a safety with cover skills like Ken Houston, Ed Reed or Troy Polamalu. The equivalent to any of those three GOATs will do just fine, I suppose. Those kind of guys are floating around everywhere! lol

Maybe for QB - you guys can go out and get someone with passing skills like Marino, Montana, Brady or Manning! Gee, this is so easy! Why doesn't anyone else attack rebuilding like this?

... just busting your balls. :suds:

I've seen some things that say that was swomething Collins was talking about way back in 2015. If that
s the case. Our steady and habitual regression, sterling W/L record of 31-32-1 since 2015 up to now. As well as the ass backwards, nonsensical way Snyder and Allen have handled things. Might've been enough for Collins to change his mind.

Yep - his views may be different now & if somehow he parts ways w/ the Giants an offer form a major contender may motivate him to go elsewhere.

As to why he would want to sign with the Skins - 2 reasons - 1. the fact that he idolizes Sean Taylor & 2. the fact that the Redskins defense is loaded with Alabama players. Not saying that is enough to make him sign, but those would be some possible reasons.

I really like the last part of your post & it matches what I have basically been stating over the last several months. I would be a little careful about getting rid of players like Docston who have minimal salary cap impact (why not give him another season to redeem himself). However I am alright with at least considering getting rid of a lot of the other players mentioned. If they do well elsewhere - big deal - you have to choose a direction & live with the consequences.

I agree about the need to be more physical & having the rt related mindsight. They need more players like J. Allen & Payne who give it their all & don't constantly make excuses. They need less players like Foster & Norman who want to make excuses, rag on fans & are not willing to take the blame for losses (whether it is their fault or not - players need to step up).

It would be great if for starters if the majority of this team consisted of players who left it all on the field - regardless of outcome.

Shit, homey. I actually toned it down a tad far as the safeties go. I was gonna say Ronnie Lott and Kenny Easley minus the injuries at first. On the real though. I'm just runnin the only thing I'm in charge of on the internet, my mouth.

Is his wildest dream to become a Redskin or is his wildest dream to sign a life changing contract where him and his kids will never have to worry about money again, with the Redskins... deserved or not

Yeah, I actually like Dox and think he was seriously mishandled by Gruden his first couple years in the league.

Skins2021:

I think you are absolutely, positively 100% correct in this post.

I commend you on your insight and intellect.

Well done, sir!
